Deli’kat, Magnum, Hellmann's, Cocolino, Dero, Cif, Domestos, Dove and Rexona.

The SSHE Leader for SCE/SEE has overall responsibility for managing Personal and Process Safety, Construction Safety, Security, Health, & Environment improvement activities to achieve excellence at all sites in the geography.  These sites include all factories, office buildings, virtual offices, R&D canters, distribution canters, field sales and merchandizers.  S/he is responsible for all Unilever employees, contractors and third-party suppliers across the end-to-end supply chain including all decentralized businesses.  S/he works across the matrixed organization to deliver SSHE technology, tools, and work processes to help clients across the businesses, functions and geographies excel in SSHE performance.  S/he also has responsibility for overseeing legal SSHE compliance of all sites in the geography. Unilever has robust external and internal commitments for protecting people and the planet and the SSHE community facilitates progress against those targets.  Success is determined by a strong SSHE culture in the geography.

Responsabilities:

·  Sets a SSHE Implementation Plan to deliver against the European and Global SSHE Strategies
·  Sets goals and plans to meet cluster and SSHE commitments.
·  Manages the SSHE teams responsible to deliver results.
·  Maintains a strong network across the cluster to manage risk of upcoming changes and builds plans into existing priorities particularly in new capital projects, new business acquisitions and divestitures.
·  Safety Governance to drive strong SSHE culture.
·  Leads the culture change process for SSHE across the cluster.
·  Designs and operates a governance process to track company performance against all safety targets.  Works across the matrix organization to ensure progress meets company expectations.
·  Leads the auditing program across the geography ensuring simplification to the client.
·  Ensures global governance tools like PAR, SPR, Safety Pillar, SHENet, MOC, Power BI and others represent the geography accurately.  Maintains local governance tools as necessary.
·  Oversees sites legal compliance an ensure they meet all local/national regulatory requirements and Unilever standards.
·  Manages change to balance risk and assures appropriate controls.
·  Maintains the documented standards, policies, and practices to ensure SSHE compliance with regulatory and Unilever expectations.
·  Supports global reporting with data and verbiage for internal and external company reports for SSHE technologies ensuring accuracy and brand protection.  Develops local
·  reporting to Conduct trend analysis from incidents, near misses and safe behaviour observations.
·  Translates global standards into local language and maintains SharePoint for policies and practices. 
·  Capability Building programs.
·  Leads the community of practice of SSHE professionals to ensure sharing of best practice and effective communication.
·  Oversees professional SSHE skills within SSHE and across client base by determining training needs and assisting in delivery of training programs.
·  Maintains local expertise in specific SSHE technologies like machinery safety, mechanized material handling equipment safety (MMHE), safe driving, office safety, safe travel, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, emergency planning and response, security, process safety, water, air and waste compliance requirements and others.
·  Participates in Incident Management, Emergency Planning and Response
·  Advises line management in all accident/incident investigations.
·  Assists the Market Leadership Team in leading and developing the internal Incident Management committees and Central SHE committee.
·  Supports site leaders in the geography in serious incident investigation and analysis.
·  Leads critical root cause investigations for complex incidents.
·  Integrates Newly Acquired Businesses and Decentralized Businesses
·  Operates within the boundaries of SSHE business expectations in cost, capital, and headcount.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL

·  Experience in Supply Chain operations
·  Proven track record of analytical thinking and project management
·  University degree in Science or Engineering.  Technology experience in engineering, modelling, data analysis, manufacturing chemistries, environmental operations, environmental impact on the planet, and how those technologies across Unilever impact risk is beneficial. 
·  Knowledge in human behaviour and work process associated with unplanned event management. 
·  Excellent knowledge of Unilever SHE standards.  Working knowledge using all SHE IT tools and how those tools integrate into other functional work processes.
·  Influencing skills and international business/cultural sensitivity
·  Good observation and auditing skills
·  Ability to influence strategic deliverables in a widely matrixed organization.
·  Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.
·  Working experience with work processes in all functions in Unilever to best integrate all SHE standards and tools.

PREFERRED

·  5-10 years in extended Supply Chain operations
·  5-10 years in SSHE role
