Unilever is looking for an exceptional new member to join the new R&D Skin Cleansing Global and EU Cluster Design formulation team based in Port Sunlight.

Job Purpose
Working on brands such as Dove, Axe and Radox, you will partner with a cross-functional project team to deliver value driven, sustainable, desirable products.

As a formulation technician, your key responsibility will be the design and delivery of skin cleansing formulations like shower gels, bath foams and bar soap. You will support multiple brand development projects, providing technical support and leadership for the development of formulations and formats that consistently meet or exceed consumer's expectations while supporting business sustainability.

Main Accountabilities
· Support the development of new or existing formulations to meet supply chain, packaging, consumer, brand, regional and confidentiality requirements.
· Lead formulation development activities including product stability and testing, understand and interpret results, make recommendations and build robust specifications.
· Work and communicate effectively with different departments and suppliers to deliver against the project network timings and identify and manage risks.
· Play an active role in the delivery of the Unilever Skin Cleansing strategy and other category/business activities
· Responding to local market needs through sprint innovation and creative problem solving

KEY REQUIREMENTS
· Proven and relevant experience in formulation development.
· A creative, logical and analytical mind to generate innovative solutions to problems.
· You will need to be enthusiastic and self-motivated with good verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate technical design principles to people at all levels of the business, across different functions.
