Job Title: SHE Engineer
Location: Gloucester
JOB PURPOSE
The Safety Engineer role is a member of the Engineering Team with full support to Safety mainly responsible for the overall Contract Management program on site. The role will be responsible for supporting the delivery for aspects of Engineering safety Programs. Supporting site Duty Holders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead contractor management on site
· Standardise, maintain , monitor the contractor managements program on the site.
· KPI to review contractor performance
· Develop systems for contractor control
· Manage PTW system – Transition to E permit
· Regular audits of contractors and systems
· Process safety team member
· Management and Governance of engineering related statutory inspections ie Loler
· Deliver training on contractor management and PTW
· Routine performance evaluations of Relevant Contractors
· Embedding Governance and Continuous improvement towards Unilever life critical standardsand defined activities working closely with Site Duty holders
· Machinery safety Governance
· WAH project Governance
· Confined space
· Line break in
ALL ABOUT YOU
· NEBOSH Certified in Occupational Health & Safety
· Working knowledge of CDM
· Can participate HAZOPS
· Ability to complete incident investigations & RCA.
· Working knowledge of Machinery safety
· Trained in relevant PTW
· University degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent industrial experience.
· Qualifications required by local regulatory authorities.
· Excellent knowledge of Unilever and SHE standards.
· Good knowledge of Manufacturing and Process Safety.
· Influencing skills.
· Good observation and auditing skills
· Experience in Supply Chain operators
· Manufacturing and/or Engineering experience
· Proven track record analytical thinking and project management
· Relevant SHE or Engineering Experience
· Prior Unilever experience

Recruitment Fraud
Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
How is Unilever tackling this?
Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
