Senior R&D Technologist- Packaging Development Ice-cream

Job description

Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job  

To meet the strong business growth target and ambition, packaging is an essential part of delivering new product mix to consumers, material saving, quality control, USLP target to achieve sustainable business growth. 

We need to full fill our Packaging resource to meet the rapid growing business requirements. 

 

This role will be responsible for:  

Taking role as Packaging WSL in innovation projects (cover packaging design/deployment/implementation/ logistic ). Coordinate packaging activities across related teams (Marketing, Supply Chain teams, 3P Partners and other R&D functions) and packaging suppliers to identify best technical approach to achieve the intended design, quality, cost objectives, functionality, and manufacturability.  

Leading Packaging sustainability projects , 5S and Simplification, support Packaging Quality Improvement activities etc. 

Leading Packaging Promotion Projects (incl. mixing pack, on-pack, free sample gift pack etc.) 

Main Accountabilities

· 
Packaging WSL for Icecream category Packaging Innovation/Renovation activities for NAs and lead package component qualification with cross function team (Manufacture inhouse and 3P/Procurement/Supplier…), from concept models and prototypes to engineering prints, through to unit & production tooling, and filling line qualification. Accurate recording and reporting data. Development of prototypes / claims / communication for proof and market selling story. 

· 
Develop regional supply base to support innovation & cost effective programme.  

· 
Support Packaging Quality Improvement activities and packaging material saving projects  

· 
Support new packaging material development & implement packaging sustainability landing in China according roadmap

Key Skills  

packaging knowledge (flexible and rigid plastic are preferred)  

Good Project management competency 

Good team work/communication skills 

Good oral/written English skills 

Relevant Experience  

At least 3 years (1C) working experience in FMCG packaging field.
