Job description

Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Supervisor

This position is responsible for the facilitation of the business' safety strategy at the Sikeston operation, including ensuring compliance with all relevant OSHA standards, Unilever and ERM documents, leading safety teams, training/development and lending expertise to all safety-related issues within the operation.

· Maintain daily contact with the workforce regarding safety issues and related topics.

· Achievement and maintenance of Zero accidents.

· Assist with the presentation of new employees orientations.

· Foster and maintain a proactive approach to safety and the promotion of a safety-conscious work culture.

· Develop and lead safety communications at the location.

· Administration of the worker's compensation program and the OSHA 300 log for the Sikeston operation.

· Ensures full compliance with their stated SHE management system through communication, training, information and internal inspections and audits at all levels, taking corrective action where necessary to deal with observed unsafe acts and conditions.

· Participate in regulatory Unilever internal auditing.

· Participate in regulatory Unilever internal compliance.

· Program maintenance and annual review.

· Accident Investigation management (RCA, LL, 24 hour) (RVS)

· TLE – Training, Learning, and educating aspects of the business.

· Hardware, software and mind ware development and tracking.

· Manages and reports incidents in line with Unilever incident management procedures.

· Develops procedures and then manages crisis and emergency incidents.

· Reports and communicates results, issues and improvements to relevant stakeholders.

· Ability to become HAZWOPER certified, be an emergency response member and have knowledge of the EAP (emergency Action Plan).

QUALIFICATIONS:

· BS college degree in related field.

· Three (3) to Five (5) years' experience in related discipline; management level experience preferred.

PREFERRED / DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience of operating with semi-autonomous or autonomous teams.

· Maintenance Engineering Discipline at Post Apprenticeship Skill level (as graded by national standards).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to work across multiple shifts and multiple shift schemes.

· Responsible for setting the direction and change efforts. Influencing the leadership team and WCM Pillar to accomplish site goals will be an integral requirement of this position.

· Maintain operational knowledge of various IT support systems.

· Improve Team delivery of safety KPI's within Sikeston operation to reduce cost
