Background & Purpose of the Job
Retail Foodservice is one of the fastest growing segments in foodservice, driven by a consumer demand for fresh, high quality meal offerings from a convenient venue. And Restaurant Chains continue to have steady year over year growth with tremendous opportunity to expand our UFS penetration. The channels have now been combined thus maximizing the need for effective large account management coupled with a keen sense of both business segments. The main purpose of this job is to drive overall national account growth in the northeast region, by growing the existing customer base and targeting new opportunities.
Who You Are & What You'll Do
Customer Development – Existing Business (Time commitment: 40%)
· Maintain and grow existing retail foodservice and chain sales in the northeast region
· Develop and execute account plans for top 10 customers (operator and commissary). Plans will include top line growth opportunities, annual profit improvement actions and specific activities to maintain / grow existing business.
Customer Development – New Business (Time commitment: 60%)
· Proactive identification, qualification and cultivation of new customers in the northeast region, focusing on RFS, regional chains and commissaries
· Develop partnerships with Retail to penetrate and develop new accounts
· Additional focus on penetration of National and Super Regional Chains within territory
What You'll Need To Succeed:
· 5-10 years sales experience in foodservice
· Bachelor's Degree preferred
· 2-3 years national/regional account sales experience preferred
· Demonstrated track record of success working in a collaborative selling environment.
· Experience in developing customer specific strategy and action plans.
