Job description

To translate the mission efficiently into action, and to ensure that Unilever complies with its own high standards as well as with the technical aspects of legislation, is the task of the Global Product Compliance team. The GPC is part of the Regulatory Affairs Organization in R&D.

The team supports the whole Unilever portfolio, deals with a high variety in compliance activities and interacts with many functions in Unilever.

Main Accountabilities

·  Act as a compliance business partner to Business Units/Business Groups, RD leaders, TPLs, SC, Innovation RA
·  Act as Post-Lock FPOC for maintenance and operation of compliance business processes in their area of responsibility
·  Ensure the implementation of compliance business processes with speed and efficiency in their area of responsibility for regulatory change or adaption to business needs
·  Ensure local regulatory requirements are defined and maintained in the tools/processes
·  Collaboratively work with local IRA on information sharing
·  Lead the impact assessment according to relevant regulatory changes and issues in their area of responsibilities.
·  Provide the training of RDC, LD, and SC for the use of compliance automation and externalisation tools.
·  Get full engagement from local stakeholders for the roll-out or implementation of automated and/or outsourced compliance processes or for the development of new tools
·  Engagement with Global Product Compliance
·  Collaborative work with GPC teams and local IRA to identify opportunities to drive speed, efficiency and consistency in compliance processes for China
·  Consult with the GPC teams to adapt global ways of working, and receive expertise guidance for compliance issues or improvement.
·  Inform GPC teams on regulatory changes.

Key Skills

·        Bachelor/Master degree in Science (preferable in Chemistry) or equivalent degree

·        Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal

·        Experience with and fully understand our ways of working and its complexity in their responsibility

·        Capable to pro-actively engage with and manage stakeholders

·        Fully operational in virtual ways of working globally

·        Ability to liaise with other functions, ensuring their timely input to meet compliance requirements

·        Ability to observe, analyse, solve the issues, and always look for opportunities

·        Attention to details and process/result-oriented

·        Team player with people driven leadership, capable to lead diverse and multi-functional teams
Relevant Experience

·  1-3 years working experience on Cosmetics compliance
·  New CSAR regulation expertise
·  Cosmetics notification experience under New CSAR, including import and special cosmetics
