About the Role –When you aren't eating, this is what you will do…

The R&D Associate will work at the nexus of the Sir Kensington's Product and Special Projects teams. In this role, the R&D Associate will lead the benchtop development of innovative core products and special edition sauces, at times in collaboration with chefs and other partners. A broad knowledge of global cuisines, flavor profiles and culinary styles will be crucial, along with a strong interest in food that spans from history to table. This role will be crucial to the continued high level execution of our products, and this individual will be foundational to the product vision for our growing business.

Responsibilities include:

· Ownership of formula development, hands on bench development, and responsible for end to end R&D process for a variety of new and existing products as well as special edition collaborations.
· Full management of the R&D kitchen, including kitchen prep for bench tops, ingredient inventory, kitchen cleaning, inbound and outbound packages, and overall organization.
· Assistance with ingredient sourcing and the ongoing maintenance of strong supplier relationships.

This role is based at Sir Kensington's NYC HQ.

About You – Necessary ingredients

· A Food Science or Culinary Arts degree, and/or a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in CPG Product Development.
· Working knowledge of food science and understanding of microbiology as related to Product Development.
· Must be a proactive, highly organized and self-motivated individual with great time management skills.
· Must have a flexible and agile mindset with a “yes and” problem solving attitude.
