Background and Purpose of the Job:
The Project Delivery Engineer for process will manage the end to end delivery of the site capital project for our Hellman’s Mayonnaise factory in Chicago. The projects will mainly be in process and utilities, but they will be based on a wide range of safety, quality, infrastructure, savings, and equipment improvements. They will drive the site masterplan for mayonnaise processing aligned with the Unilever design teams, and provide technical support to the day to day and reliability activities. This role reports to Site Engineering Manager at the Kilbourn Dressings Site.

Who You Are & What You'll Do
Organized and detail oriented to deliver projects respective safety, product quality, project timing, and cost. You will be supported by full-time and hired contractors to execute the projects. The Project Engineer for process takes a leadership role over a portion of the capital project portfolio in the site.
You're a born leader: Management of improvement projects in a fast-moving environment with many stakeholders requires the ability for independent decision making, constructive collaboration, managing expectations, and navigating tradeoffs for our customers (the factory). The position is responsible for cost estimating, analyzing options, building business cases, critiquing designs, managing construction, installation, commissioning, and handover with minimal supervision. As a member of management in a factory, you will be expected to lead other activities in our safety, quality, and continuous improvement programs. You are the site expert on food processing, batching, and energy and utilities management.
You're a change maker: Leads the standardization and development of the plant masterplan for process, grounds, and utilities. Technical resource to the category engineering team for new products and re-stages (innovation and renovation), and a resource for factory continuous improvement programs.
You're a dot connector: Participates in cross-plant improvement teams. Develop strong partnership with plant manufacturing, continuous improvement, corporate engineering and union workforce. Supports root cause analysis on process and utilities issues.

You love to win, and have fun doing it: On Time In Full (OTIF) end to end delivery of multiple capital projects (typical value $0.1m - 2 Million per project) adhering to Unilever project management standards and ensuring safety as our number one priority.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Essential:
Education: BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
Experience: 2+ Years of Engineering in FMCG / related Industry or gained in an engineering consultancy environment
Project Management, maintenance, or continuous improvement experience with food processing and/or utilities systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; along with the ability to negotiate.
Preferred:
First-hand experience delivering major capital projects ($2+ million) within Unilever or similar FMCG environment
Experience: 5+ Years of Project Engineering in FMCG / related Industry or gained in an engineering consultancy environment
Pay: The pay range for this position is $84,400 to $126,600. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
