Salary: £26,535 - £33,169

Main Job Purpose:
Responsible for the procurement of indirect goods and services for the Marketing and Business Services (MBS), Capex/MRO and R&D for the UK and Ireland Cluster.
Key Accountabilities
• Work within defined Procurement procedures (ways of working) and adhere to the Code of Business Principles at all times
• Support the procurement organisation to meet goals and objectives in support of the overall Unilever strategy
• Engage with Global Procurement Managers to understand the strategic plan for the portfolio
• Implementation of Tactical and Strategic sourcing agreements at assigned site cluster level within the portfolio
• Support Cluster Procurement Manager by providing timely and accurately assistance on relevant topics and initiatives as required
• Develop, implement and drive procurement strategies for tactical sourcing in the cluster
Portfolio Management
• Manage individual Ariba Buyer Purchase Requests from the business
• Support implementation and compliance to global strategic contracts
• Source and negotiate for assigned spend and site clusters where no contract exists and that are not strategically sourced
• Support Tactical and Strategic sourcing projects , coordinating projects as required
• Identify opportunities to standardise purchasing requirements
• Support initiatives within the department to improve efficiency, including identifying and implementing catalogues
• Manage the vendor creation process, promoting the use of preferred suppliers with business stakeholders
• Proactively identify and deliver business savings targets
• Identify and propose cost reduction/continuous performance improvement (supplier) opportunities
Supplier Management
• Identify and assess suppliers for assigned portfolio and site clusters
• Prepare and manage supplier selection process for assigned spend
• Manage and maintain contracts for the assigned spend and site clusters
• Put in place appropriate vendor management strategy
• Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers
• Address / escalate supplier non-performance as appropriate
Business engagement
• Pro-actively engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, providing support and guidance
• Ensure the satisfaction of Unilever's internal customers with the goods or services provided by the suppliers within the portfolio
• Proactively manage compliance by business users to Procurement policies and contracts
Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications:
Essential
• Demonstrable procurement experience
• High level of analytical skills, with experience of using Microsoft Office work packages, Excel in particular
• Proactive and able to self-manage
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Desirable
• Business related degree or similar
• Experience of the procurement of indirect goods and services within FMCG
• Ariba buyer and SAP experience
• Skilled in working across a geographically dispersed team
