Key Accountabilities:

SCOPE OF ROLE  

This role is responsible for the implementation and development of relevant sourcing strategies in NEA & SEAA for Animal Proteins with €36M spend, as well as Fruits & Nuts and Farmed ingredients that includes Tomatoes, Pasta, Herbs with €21M spend. It is a highly complex portfolio with over 160 different specification and 120+ suppliers and distributors. This role is part of Oils & Natural Ingredients team with direct report its director and dotted line to Food Ingredients director and Soft Commodity director.

Main responsibilities for this position will be to define preferred suppliers list, manage partnerships for value and growth, defining and implementing resilience actions for each market as well as implementing global negotiations in the region.  This role will create supplier network that aligns with the overall business objectives for Divisions and Markets in line with the overall global Sourcing Strategy and SUSO agenda (Cage Free Egg implementation by 2025).

The role would require the candidate to be well versed with use of cost model and its analysis. Use of digital tools and reports to enhance negotiations, opportunity identification. Lead and land portfolio savings. Engage closely with internal stakeholder, including local and global contacts, to deliver business needs through strong network of suppliers.

The role is responsible for price forecasting, best in class contracting and negotiations, benchmarking, supplier scanning and support driving quality and service in the cluster.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·  To assess, identify and select appropriate supplier base that would meet the needs of the business
·  To be responsible for price forecast and deliver the best buying performance possible while navigating through very unstable developing countries’ landscapes.
·  To deliver cost savings/value creation based on sourcing strategies and compliance management.
·  To develop and implement Superior Availability through ASAs, Supplier capacities, etc
·  To develop and implement ZBB and specs simplification
·  To manage key stakeholders engagement
·  To continuously improve ways of working and optimize procurement activities
·  To support Innovation program, partnering with global and regional divisional teams
·  To build and implement Long-term strategy

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED & SKILLS

- University degree

- Negotiation and communication skills

- Digital and analytics knowledge

- Financial acumen for business cases and reporting

- Good buying, negotiation and contracting skills

- Supply market and FMCG knowledge

- Demonstrated and proven leadership capabilities to work in virtual global team
