LOCATION : Mexico City
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Ensure the Business Groups plans for sustainability are met building in each country the capacity of PCR needed, with high quality and service. Build partnerships – externally and internally, experimenting new technologies, new models along the value chain and working towards the creation of a circular economy on plastics. Ensure PCR is affordable to the business in the long term.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE NEEDED IN SIMILAR ROLES:
At least 2-3 years in a related position.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:
Support PCR agenda for each BGs looking for new capacities, materials, and colors to have a best-in-class resin to substitute virgin.
Supports strategy creation and implementation for a region that represents 15% of global PCR Spend, with the challenge of increasing 50% the volume in 2 years.
· Deliver YoY profitability to the business ensuring Unilever is paying best price in each market for PCR.
· Work with R&D analyzing new technologies to solve plastic contamination like advanced recycling, renewable sourced bioplastics, Alternative sources from agricultural or Agri waste routes (sugarcane, tall oil, used vegetable oil etc.). Compostables, natural polymers.
· Analyse, report, and track progress on PCR initiatives.
· Ensure all our suppliers have contract in place with best-in-class clauses.
· Track audit requirements and traceability in all our suppliers.
· Responsible for identifying and appointing supply partners for PCR.
· Manage PCR projects by bringing together relevant stakeholders across R&D, Supply Chain and marketing and align to business needs.
· Ensure PCR is affordable for the business in the long-term looking into the full E2E of the supply chain.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION NEEDED:
Bachelor´s degree completed.
WHAT YOU´LL NEED TO SUCCEED?
Essential
- English and Spanish speaker.
- Passionate about Sustainability. Proven track record of influencing internally and externally.
Preferred
- Experience in Commercial skills, Managing partnerships
