Job Title: Procurement Executive IT & Telecoms
Salary: Up to £38,100

ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for IT sourcing globally for goods and services such as:
• Mobile services (Mobile voice and data, mobile/fixed convergence, innovative mobility solutions)
• Information and Analytics: Business partnering activities to support sourcing activities and supplier management in this area.
• IT Devices (Mobile devices, Laptops, Enterprise Compute Servers, Storage) either on premise or as a service in the cloud.
• The team is responsible for a spend of roughly 500 million Euro annually.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the Global procurement strategy implementation / sourcing execution for IT Infrastructure and Telecom categories in Unilever
• Participate in internal and external analysis (industry & supplier) and benchmarking in collaboration with IT Procurement team
• Work with business and IT stakeholders in various geographies to analyse and collate information regarding current requirements and future needs.
• Efficient, timely and transparent communication to internal customers and suppliers
• Work within defined Procurement procedures (Ways of Working) and adhere to the Code of Business Principles at all times
• Act as first point of contact for the business for issues/questions relating to IT procurement in Mobile, Information and Analytics and concerning the Ariba requisitioning platform
• Work in an effective, cohesive team environment (Ability to understand all areas of Indirect Procurement)
• Supplier Relationship Management and account planning.
• Support the Mobile, Information and Analytics category team on getting spend data, analysing offers, making recommendations as well as getting team meetings, SharePoint and contracts better organized.
Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategies
• Identify, facilitate and deliver benefits through strategic sourcing / e - sourcing / demand management / vendor relationship management / value optimisation techniques working in tandem with the concerned stakeholder/s (Global and Local IT Teams)
• Identify the optimum supplier relationships for the organisation, negotiate value driven agreements that are in line with defined commercial and legal requirements and subsequently manage the supplier relationships along with the stakeholders
• Achieving savings/cash targets through defined methodologies, tracking and reporting on these financial targets to relevant stakeholders
• Implementing the global strategic sourcing processes across various countries and implementing necessary catalogues
• Implement and manage sourcing best practices
• Engage in regional sourcing initiatives providing global insights around new supplier intelligence
Projects
• Support Global Strategic sourcing projects as required
• Lead procurement projects him/herself as needed
Vendor management
• Identification and initial assessments of suppliers for assigned portfolio and geographies.
• Prepare and manage supplier selection process for assigned spend and site clusters using available tools and standardised templates
• Work with the Legal Counsel to finalise commercial agreements using Unilever contractual operating framework of Master Contracts. Manage and maintain contracts for the assigned spend and portfolio.
• Maintain frequent contact with suppliers, to review/resolve day-to-day issues and to develop current insights into suppliers' business conditions.
• Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers.
• Address / escalate supplier non-performance as appropriate.
Business engagement
• Ensure the satisfaction of Unilever's internal stakeholders with the Indirect Procurement goods or services provided by the suppliers within the Mobile, Information and Analytics and Devices portfolio
• Measure compliancy by business users to Procurement policies and contracts and take corrective actions as appropriate
Portfolio Management
• Source and negotiate for assigned portfolio spends for goods or services where no contract exists and that are not strategically sourced.
• Identify opportunities to standardise purchasing requirements, and enable this in the form of a catalogue that can be loaded into Ariba Buyer
• Conduct spend map analysis to monitor spend and ensure that all purchases follow the purchasing process
• Document savings in the internal ISIS database and assist other team members.
Cost and Cash Savings
• Proactively identify and deliver Savings and/or Cash (via payment term extension) and Ariba operations in line with set targets
• Identify and propose cost reduction/continuous performance improvement (supplier) opportunities.
Reporting Channel:
Procurement Manager or Global Procurement Manager
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Procurement experience is key
- Understanding of numbers and Excel are key skills
- Running projects – pick up a business requirement and then go to suppliers and get something place
- IT Procurement, knowledge of technical IT/understanding of technical IT is solid background for this role
- P2P – Ariba would be nice to have. Any knowledge of the basics of the system is going to serve the candidate well
