Job Title: Project Process Engineer
Location; Leeds

Main Job Purpose:
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Process Engineer to assist with the process and mechanical aspects of the Project Engineering Department with current and potential projects at all stages of implementation including projects at feasibility, planning, installation and post installation. It will involve working on a number of projects involving blending and batch mixing plant
This will include evaluating and putting together project cost / time plans for future projects, assisting in the installation management of current projects and ensuring all aspects are in place for handover of completed projects.
Responsibilities:
· The Process Project Engineer will take responsibility to engineer and manage capital projects to meet capital plan.
· Manage the engineering design, specification, procurement, installation , commissioning and handover of capital projects in alignment with site procedures and Early Equipment Management principles.
· Tender to multiple suppliers to develop, analyse and select the most appropriate engineering solutions in terms of safety, quality and cost.
· Production of technical documentation for handover to the Commissioning Team/Operation
· Based on project briefs establish project scope identifying potential solutions and capital estimates
· Produce and submit capital expenditure proposals
· Undertake HAZOP/HACCP studies and familiar with hygienic plant , COMAH and handling flammable materials.
· Define process requirements of site user requirement specifications for ATEX and hygienic plant (URS)
· Work with procurement to ensure cost and contractual arrangements are in place with suppliers
· Ensure equipment is specified correctly and approve specifications/drawings, using core design where possible
· Responsible for Updating and managing site P&ID's for the process area
· Control budget and ensure proper financial accounting
· Deliver projects to agreed timescales/budgets
· Some Travel will be required within Europe and the UK.

Skills and experiences:
· The successful candidate will have experience in managing similar projects and will also have the following experience and qualifications:
· Candidate should be preferably a process engineer with at least 3 years plus experience in an Industrial environment and should be familiar with typical process equipment (pumps, mixers etc.) including ATEX regulations and hygienic engineering standards.
· Good working knowledge of Early Equipment Management
· Familiarity and understanding of MS excel, PowerPoint, word, project and AutoCAD.
· Ideally candidates would have a working knowledge of current H&S legislation Such as IOSH , and familiarity with the use of P&ID's/layouts in a production environment.
· Also completing PHAs and Hazop/Haccp studies.
· Management of contractors and leading small teams will also be expected within this role and ideally some project experience would be desired.
· Experience within a project engineering environment
· Appropriate engineering qualification e.g. Degree and ideally a Chartered Engineer or working towards.
· Ideally experience of working on a COMAH Site
