Palletizer Supplemental- Seasonal

This position is responsible for properly stacking the correct amount of product onto Chep pallets. The position is usually seasonal in nature. Therefore, in the event of either a temporary layoff or a reduction in the workforce, palletizer's reductions will occur first within this group of employees. Performing all job functions in the safety manner possible. Performing all assigned steps in the production and packaging of product, including:

- Perform all work in a safe manner.

- Stack correct amounts and right pallet configuration onto pallet.

- Ability to access SAP and print out pallet labels.

- Visually inspect quality of product as stacked (carton integrity, etc.).

- Cover breaks of other stackers.

- Clean and sweep up stacking area and general housekeeping.

- Be actively involved with WCM through departmental activities to continuously improve overall plant performance.

- Operate pallet wrapper when needed, including operate forklift.

- Other duties as assigned.

Working Environment

Work is performed on the manufacturing floor or in the freezer/warehouse area. Potential hazards include proximity of moving machinery chemical exposure, noise, or heavy lifting. The position may require an individual to stand, stoop, move equipment; bend, reach, or lift for prolonged periods of time. PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection and safety approved footwear.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

- Learn all functions of job within 90 days.

- Use math skills to calculate quantities accurately.

- Learn how to understand pallet configurations.

- Ability to become forklift qualified within 30 days.

- Be able to work in varying temperatures, and lift/carry cases of product from conveyer to pallets in a safe and efficient manner.

- Able to lift up to 57 lbs. routinely throughout shift.

- Forklift experience .

- Experience palletizing.

- Warehouse inventory management

Minimum Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent GED

· Able to lift up to 50lbs

· Able to work 8hrs shift on 2 nd shift or 12hrs shift (6pm-6m) on 2-2-3 days structure

Preferred Requirements

· Manufacturing experience

· Forklift experience
