P2P Accountant

KKR are committed to supporting the business' growth ambition, whilst continuing to follow Unilever's responsible sourcing policies , including working towards the goal of sourcing 100 per cent sustainable palm oil by 2019.
Your Role
Financial Accountant/Assistant Controller for UK&I business with responsibility for ensuring robust control environment and leading Purchase to Pay and local audit/tax responsibilities.
Your Main Responsibilities: -
Business Controls & Risk Management
· Develop, implement and monitor strong internal control environment across all business processes.
· Safeguard adherence to all company policies and procedures
· Active risk management with a focus on driving key actions in partnership with country leadership team
Purchase to Pay Leadership
· Drive key P2P metrics (payment on time, PO compliance) and define continuous improvement actions P2P OC Governance, continuous improvement on P2P processes + controls
· Manage off-shore Shared Services to ensure effective execution of P2P processes.
· Support Marketing teams in management of Marketing budget and execution of P2P process
· Provide Overheads reporting and support efficiency plans
Performance Management
· Lead Working Capital forecasting, reporting and improvement plans
· Support UK/I Country Controller and Finance Manager in driving improved performance across breadth of business operations
Tax, Audit & Legal
· Local Tax compliance and reporting, in conjunction with any local advisers
· Support Statutory audit process and reporting, managing relationship with external auditors
· Support Internal Audit team and drive full implementation of any recommendations
· Local commercial contract set-up and management, in conjunction with any local legal advisers. Drive adherence to contracts to realise business value
· Manage local statutory insurance programmes
Change Management
· Support transition away from Unilever and set-up of distinct Spreads organisation
· Ensure effective local implementation of Transition Services Agreements (TSAs) in conjunction with Unilever management
· Provide support to other countries within the Business Unit during the transition
Skills, experience and qualifications: -
· A good academic record. Part-qualified (chartered or certified) accountant with intention to complete qualification.
· Minimum 2 years experience of working in a financial accounting or reporting role
· Potential to develop and build a broader Finance career outside of core financial accounting
· Very strong work ethic, resilience in the face of pressure, good team player, ability to meet multiple stretching deadlines, great communication skills and excellent attention to detail
· Strong analytical bias and Microsoft Excel skills.
