Job description

Department: Supply Chain

Job Title: Nutrition Process & Project Engineer

Workplace: Shanghai

 

Responsibilities:

1.       Process Development

a)       Work in food process design and development independently, including process route planning, material balance calculation, PFD drawing etc.

b)       Communication with cross function team, e.g. Factory, R&D, Marketing and BG Enginggering, Hive etc for input and align the process development.

c)        Work together with cross function team in R&D Pilot Plant, Supplier, Factory to validate process design and optimize.

d)       Draw P&ID and Layout based on project requirement, and prepare BOQ as basis for quotation.

e)       Commissioning the new process

f)        Prepare process development document

 

2.       Project Delivery

a)       Lead process project independently from E2E perspective, including Business Case development, concept design, technical solution design, supplier selection, installation, commissioning, handover etc.

b)       Drive cross function team to deliver project against pre-agreed milestone, deliverable etc, including trials, process design work etc.

c)        Lead installation, commissioning by managing different suppliers, coordinating with factory, R&D etc.

d)       Resolve issues quickly by mobilizing resources without any delay.

e)       Prepare project document and properly hand over.

 

3.       Capex Management & Factory Support

a)       Work as gate keeper for capex management, by working with factory to validate the design, supplier selection, costing etc to ensure the technology & supplier selection is inline with BU Strategy

b)       Support factory to improve manufacturing efficiency, optimizing process and material handling etc.

c)        Support factory to cope with chronic issues by adapting WCM way.

 

Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s or master’s degree on food process/engineering.
·  Solid knowledge on food process design and development, experience in Flavor, Aseptic, CIP, Soy Sauce is a plus.
·  Proficient in AutoCAD, especially on P&ID, Layout Drawing, AutoCAD Plant 3D is a plus.
·  Good at fluid and heat calculation, e.g. Newton’s law of viscosity, Bernoulli, Navier-Stokes Equation etc.
·  Good knowledge of process equipment, including its design principle, functionality, mechanical structure, maintenance etc, e.g. Heat Exchanger, UHT Sterilizer, Pump, Valve, Mixer, Homogenizer etc
·  Passion to work in fast reaction & continuous optimizing environment.
·  Rich experience on project management, timeline delivery and risk control, especially in fast & high agility projects.
·  Rich experience in manufacturing, understand manufacturing practice when design.
·  Self-motivation, good time & multi-task management and problem-solving capability.
·  Fluent English communication, both oral and written.
