ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently recruiting Machine Operatives to work various shift patterns, within our Manufacturing area of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Machine Operator you will be responsible for delivering our production outputs, and:
1. Act safely and protect yourself and others
2. Complete all Quality checks as we want our products to be at the highest standard to delight our consumers
3. Operate all equipment on the line
4. Change over all equipment on the line
5. Complete basic maintenance activities and repairs
6. Clean all equipment on the line & general area
7. Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained on shift
8. Able to book material to the line & return it from the line to Warehouse
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
The Production Operator is required to Operate, Maintain, Improve and Repair equipment according to training endorsement, and will support the delivery of operational KPIs. Supported by the core skills to work within an autonomous team, the Machine Operator will diligently follow the established standards of production delivery and drive continuous improvement. Safety, quality and eco-efficiency will be the hallmarks of the Machine Operator, which will complement an improved ability to analyse, problem solve and coach others.
Ideally, you will have previous operating experience in a food factory environment, but we'll still offer you plenty of on-the-job training, and many opportunities to get involved in safety, quality and continuous improvement activity. You will bring with you, a willingness to learn and a positive ‘can-do' attitude and we'll be proud to call you one of our own. You will be a confident and clear communicator with a strong team ethic. You should be confident to work with numbers and data and have GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
