Legal Counsel – China

Job description

Main Responsibilities:

1  Provide legal support to Customer Development, including contracts/agreements draft and review, attending project meetings in sales and distribution, various e-commerce channels, promotions, and participating negotiation;

2  Provide day-to-day legal support to corporate governance for all legal entities and branches of Unilever in China;

3  Coordinate dispute resolution and risk management, handle challenges from competitors, authority and consumers, etc., to secure the company commercial benefits;

4  Designs and implement training programs on legal topics to enhance legal awareness in the Customer Development department, HR team and other functions at the country level;

5  Works in alignment with other legal team such as global legal, local BU legal counsels, local patent, compliance and brand protection teams;

6  Strong business acumen with a commercial business-oriented approach to problem solving, tempered by an appreciation for legal complexity, ethics and risk;

7  Works with and manages external counsel when external advice is required.

 

Key Required Skills

1  Bachelor degree and above in law or above

2  A minimum of 3-5 years of working experience, in-house working experience with companies in similar industries would be a big plus

3  Working knowledge of anti-trust, anti-unfair competition, labor, litigation and other laws

4  Solid legal knowledge with business oriented thoughts

5  Fluent in English both in verbal and writing.
