Job Title: Assistant Brand Manager, Knorr Easy Cooking UK & Ireland
Salary: £30-36k

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Knorr is the biggest Unilever brand worldwide and in the UK & Ireland, Knorr is the market leader in Stock with almost 50% value share, whilst in Ireland, Knorr is the number one Soup, Mealmaker and Pourover Sauce brand too, with the highest penetration of any Savoury brand in the country.
2016 marks an exciting moment in the Knorr brand's rich history, as we reposition the brand to ensure its longevity, whilst continuing to serve our loyal heartland consumers. As market leader in so many categories, Knorr is uniquely able to shape the categories it plays in, driving growth and future-proofing the ambient grocery market with modernisation projects and innovations.
You will play a critical role in growing USG and defining the future of the Knorr brand, by supporting the launch of 3 exciting new projects in the next year across the UK and Ireland, whilst nurturing our core business across Mealmakers & Pourover Sauces. This is also a great opportunity to develop international marketing skills with regular exposure to the Irish market as well as the UK.
The ability to work confidently with multiple cross functional teams, including Local teams in Dublin and Leatherhead as well as Regional and Global BD, is fundamental to the success of the individual. In addition, the right candidate will be highly motivated and capable of leaning in to support the Brand Manager on wider portfolio tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development of a share and penetration growth-oriented marketing & category plan that seizes opportunities in product renovation, pricing strategy, competitor activities, customer/channel (e.g. convenience format, discounter) specific needs
Represent consumer (insights), brand strategy and product quality requirements on the cross-functional discounter team
Develop & lead implementation of activation platforms and ideas based on the brand vision plan working
Translate marketing & category plan into a business framework and optimise commercial opportunities. Feed into monthly and annual planning processes.
Develop and implement 12-18 month portfolio roadmap including product range & quality, brand build, value delivery for consumers, pricing & affordability, range extension, ensuring incremental gains for Unilever across its Savoury brands
Pro-actively feed market, category and customer requirements into platform innovation projects
Champion optimal launch of innovation platforms
Work with communication team to ensure single minded communication message is created in line with the brand building communication plan, consistent with category needs.
Monitor and review effectiveness of innovation and renovation programme to inform future plans. Ensure continued focus on and support of innovation platforms once launched.
Management of marketing budgets within agreed targets and align with customer advertising activities.
