Job description

The Junior Tax Attorney is a key member of the Unilever North America tax team and responsible for U.S. general research and planning and legal support for tax compliance. The role is part of the global Unilever Tax Organization and requires work with Unilever tax and non-tax colleagues around the world. A high potential individual is sought who would be capable of performing the following functions.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare legal research, summaries and advise tax and non-tax personnel on general tax issues.
• Analyze changes in tax law; prepare memoranda/files notes summarizing such changes and impact (if any) on Unilever.
• Provide legal technical report for corporate restructuring and other business change projects, tax planning analysis, and audits
• Provide direct support to business regarding tax treatment of charitable contributions and travel, employee compensation and travel and entertainment policy

Requirements:
• JD Law and LLM Tax Law required
• 0-5 years' of relevant experience
• Strong tax technical, problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
