We are looking for a creative and inspirational designer to join the global Home Care team here at our HQ in Port Sunlight, UK. If you want to be a part of a team working across some of the world's biggest FMCG brands and shape their sustainable future, then we would like to hear from you.
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
As a junior packaging designer in Home Care you will work across multiple innovation and capability projects which reflect Unilever's packaging strategy. You will work with cross functional teams to create packaging ideas, bring them to life in inspiring and brand relevant ways, while providing leadership in design thinking / approach.
JOB SUMMARY
· Partner with internal teams to create packaging ideas to deliver to brand / R+D ambition
· Use design tools (sketching, rendering, CAD etc) to bring ideas to life and enable clear communication + inspiration for the broader team
· Understand consumer experience of our packaging and identify opportunities to strengthen and change it inline with future consumer expectations
· Lead development of briefs to ensure clear and inspiring projects
· Create and facilitate workshops to co-create new concepts with cross functional teams and consumers / influencers
· Work closely with technical partners to land new innovations
· Translate consumer insights, technical requirements and business needs into packaging solutions
KEY REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Design related discipline
· Exposure to working in a design field, with a desire to develop further
· Well versed in design tools and techniques, including sketching, Adobe Suite, CAD and prototyping
· Must be used-to be working as part of multi-disciplined teams
· Strong communicator and influencer
· A passion to learn and willingness to develop new skills
· An eye for detail
· Proven project experience with ability to meet deadlines
