IT Support Technician, Helsinki

We are looking for an onsite IT Support Technician to join our new Nordic IT Support function. In this role you will primarily be the one giving premium support to the Finnish business. Since you will be part of a Nordic team, you also on certain occasions needs to be able to support stakeholders across all our Nordic countries (Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway).

The Nordic team consist of 4 IT Support Technicians, based in Sweden, Denmark and Finland. The Finnish role is based at the Unilever Office in Helsinki, Vallila.

About the role
The IT Support Technician act as a deskside support expert and is responsible for computer hardware, software (location specific or global), mobile devices, peripherals and virtual support in both office and factory. You own the resolution of desktop or laptop related incidents, service requests, connectivity issues and software issues.

Responsibilities
· Resolve and close incidents/service requests as per help desk procedures and allocated timeline. Also, provide investigation and diagnosis
· Log relevant incident/service request details per help desk procedures and ensure that tickets are updated until issues are resolved
· Channel requests for help to the appropriate functions for resolution, monitor resolution activity and inform clients of its progress
· Conduct IT training for Users, e.g. present and educate within IT solutions, methods and tools to increase Users efficiency
· Liaise with clients, other IT support groups and 3rd party providers when necessary
· Coordinate spare asset inventory maintains and asset management for all devices
· Enforce client device policies and related procedures
· Assist with IT security issues and virus elimination
· Manage small and low risks IT projects at location


Requirements
· Previous experience from working in an IT-support function or similar
· Good knowledge within Windows, Office 365 and within OS deployment. Experience of Remedy Ticketing Systems is a plus
· Driver's License, since you on occasions have to travel to our factory sight
· Willingness to travel to other Nordic countries on rare occasions
· Fluent in Finnish and English, both spoken and written. Swedish skills are considered an advantage.
· Relevant certifications are a merit

This means you are a good communicator with great understanding of customer satisfaction, principles and practices. In this role you will also handle a variety of documentation and write technical support documentation, therefore good organization and time management skills is a must. Solving incidents correctly and efficiently also requires good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Since you will be part of a new Nordic team you need to be a team player and able to step in whenever your support is needed. At the same time, you also need to take accountability and responsibility for your own work. Therefore, a flexible mindset is required, and you need to adapt to changes, improvise and come up with new ways of working.
