Inventory Control Specialist - 1 year Contract

Background & Purpose of the Job
The position supports inventory data and movement accuracy at the plant. Provides reports and system support to management. Analyze inventory and reports inventory analytics.

Who You Are & What You'll Do

Inventory Control
Coordinate usage counts across all material storage locations and departments, ensuring lot control accuracy, reconciling SAP inventory to physical inventory and administer recounts to tolerances as required. Forward material inventory reconciliation with adjustments to production control analyst daily for processing against production work orders in a timely manner.

Goods Issue
Review SAP Goods Issue to Production Order against manual records on Supply Sheets for all production lines, ensuring accuracy of material, quantity and lot code issued. Coordinate staging, ensuring proper shelf life rotation (SLED Report), according to production requirements in alignment with actual requirements (Pick List), shipping schedules or department priorities. Reviews production schedules, production work orders and related information to determine material requirements, material overuse and material runout.

Inventory Analysis
Compile and analyze manual and computerized records (reference materials) related to material movements, lot history, inventory accuracy, material shelf life, unit of measure conversions, in-process production reports, inventory status and location of materials. Prepare weekly inventory reports, as required. Organize and execute cycle counts as needed.

Non-SAP Inventory
Track Non-SAP inventory (trials, samples), prepares inventory reports and write-off requests quarterly.

Other Duties
Attend the daily 9 AM Production Meeting, advising the production team of any material/inventory deficiencies that require attention. Participate in developing SOPs and Work Instructions, reference and training materials. Perform other duties and activities as assigned.

What You'll Need To Succeed
High School Education
Strong computer skills (Access, Advanced Excel)
Sound knowledge of ERP, WMS.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience with specialization in inventory/warehousing/logistics
5 Years Data collection and analysis
Advanced Excel – a must
