Background information
Unilever Business and Marketing Support AG (UBMS) is a Unilever entity which was founded in 2010. The entity is located in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The main responsibility of UBMS is to globally manage the strategic buying of marketing and business services in Unilever. This means that the negotiation of contracts with Unilever suppliers is centralized through UBMS. The favorable conditions that UBMS is able to negotiate, are used by Unilever entities all over the world. In return for this service, UBMS charges the Unilever entities a fee. Services that UBMS negotiates are related to HR & Travel, IT & Telecom, Workplace, Marketing Materials, Marketing Services, Innovation & Professional Services.
The operational financial activities of UBMS are performed by the Unilever Supply Chain Finance Services (SCFS) team in Rotterdam. SCFS is responsible for all financial operations and the provision of information regarding financial accounting, indirect tax, forecast, financial analyses and service costing of UBMS.
As an intern you will be fully part of the UBMS team and will provide support in a wide range of activities. The activities are generally divided into the fields of Indirect Procurement and Media Costs, but involve additional processes as rebates and withholding tax. During this internship of 6 months in Rotterdam you will be supporting the UBMS finance team in all possible ways: a unique opportunity to experience what it is like to work at Unilever as a financial professional.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities
• Generating financial forecast files
;• Daily contact with over 130 Unilever entities
;• Producing management summaries
;• Invoice and accrual preparations
;• Monthly reporting to Unilever entities
;• Assisting in month-end-closures
;• Working with accounting programs as Trintech and SAP
;• Additionally, you will take on a number of projects where you will be responsible for the result.
Skills & Experience
• You are a Bachelor/Master student or recent graduate, preferably in Finance or related areas
;• You are looking for an internship for work experience
;• You have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
;• You are fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
;• You have strong analytical capabilities
;• You are a strong communicator and a team player
;• You are available for 6 months full time, starting from January.
