Background information
Supply Chain Finance Services (SC-FS) is part of Unilever Enterprise. SC-FS is responsible for all finance operations and information preparation for Unilever's European and American Supply Chain companies (USCC and UASCC), Unilever Business and Marketing Support (UBMS), and a number of holding and services companies. SC-FS activities include product costing, billing, decision support, financial accounting, indirect tax, service delivery management of outsourced activities, and a significant contribution to supply chain transformation projects. Hence, SC-FS plays a key role in realizing Unilever's change agenda and objective to double the size of the business.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
As an intern, you can expect to be a full part of the Financial SC-FS team supporting in several Record to Report day-to-day activities (such as Hedge/Foreign Currency reporting, creating overviews, and doing checks on the balance), of which you are expected to have an analytical view on. You have to deliver reports to our international stakeholders, take full responsibility, and communicate accordingly.
As an intern, you will also get involved in ongoing projects, having a critical view on processes, and think of ways to increase efficiency. You are able to support the team and have an active role in achieving set goals.
It is expected that you have a critical view on the project set up, drive the progress, and think of what we want to achieve. Can this setup be more efficient? What can we do better? Is there an alternative? These are the questions you need to ask yourself.
In your 5-6 months internship you will get the opportunity to see how a Unilever Finance department operates in an international environment, including month end close and how to manage a project towards a set goal.
Skills & Experience
• You are at least a third year Bachelor student (or Master student), preferably in Finance;
• You are looking for an internship for work experience;
• You have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
• You have good knowledge of the English language;
• You have strong analytical capabilities;
• You are a strong communicator and team player;
• You are motivated, independent and goal oriented;
• You have hands-on mentality;
• You are available for 5-6 months, full time, from January.
