Job description
SALARY: Up to £39,000 per annum plus excellent benefits
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The HR Advisor is the primary contact for all Line Managers and Employees regarding all queries relevant to HR matters including support on cases, policies, systems and processes.
JOB SUMMARY
· Key point of contact for line managers for issue resolution.
· Providing guidance and support to Line Managers and HR Business Partner communities in geography on performance improvement, grievance, absence, redundancy processes etc in line with local governance and legislation. This includes case management of these examples through to conclusion.
· Support line managers and employees with HR Service issue resolution – coaching on correct use of processes and advising on how to escalate issues with HR Services/via HR Service Delivery.
· Coach, counsel, and guide managers with regards to HR policy queries.
· Participate in geography continuous improvement projects.
· Assist with some aspects of recruitment tasks as needed, working with outsourced or insourced recruitment teams – eg advising on immigration issues (seeking advice as necessary), assisting with changes to non-standard offer documents.
· Track HR policy query trends and provide appropriate training to upskill line managers and employees
· Provide support and structure to HR agenda and calendar of HR activities in relation to geography specific outputs and processes, participating in functional and cross-functional initiatives where appropriate
· Manage HR administration eg filing, bring forward system etc.
· Support key HR processes ensuring that they deliver the business needs
· Specific projects, including continuous improvement activities on HR operations and transactions
· Smooth running of HR administration, ensuring company and leglislative compliance, including filing
· Tracking policy queries and upskilling line manager capability
KEY REQUIREMENTS
· Capacity to understand people issues impacting the business and how the business can create value
· Demonstrates integrity in all business interactions and honours personal commitments
· Ability to provide both verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasively, as well as ability to influence others
· Strong organisation skills are important, as well as attention to detail, an ability to multi task and see work through to full implementation
· Experience in project management
· Ability to build key relationships and reach agreements and consensus despite differing goals and priorities
· Capacity to understand problems and issues in the context of the bigger picture and understand relationships among subcomponents
· Ability to use research methods effectively, including data collection, diagnostic, and analytical skills
· Experience of working within an outsourced HR environment and track record of delivery in HR operations and administration
· General knowledge of employment laws and practices
· Experience in HR data systems and processes. Full working knowledge of Workday would be an advantage.
