Scope: The Global Quality Manager for International Expansion will be responsible for launching and landing our H&W brands into new markets.

Established in 2018, Unilever’s US-centric Health & Wellbeing business is a collective of fast-growing, science-backed companies powering a lifestyle of wellbeing designed for a lifetime of possibilities. Comprised of Liquid I.V., Nutrafol, OLLY, Onnit, SmartyPants, Welly and Equilibra (in Italy), the Health & Wellbeing Collective operates with a start-up mindset and is supporting consumers on their proactive wellbeing journey by bringing innovative products to the market.

JOB PURPOSE
You will be part of the International Expansion team which is responsible for launching H&W’s brands across the world. This cross functional team has end to end responsibility for international expansion of the brands in a fast-paced environment. WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
• Lead as E2E Quality functional partner in the global international expansion project team, from ideation to commercialization.
• Collaborate with various cross-functional team members is the expansion projects, such that Quality in ensured at every stage of the project.
• Deploy quality systems at the design stage for all new projects / new product introductions.
• Identification and articulation of quality risks and issues during the new product development and/ or geo-expansion process and ensure mitigation of them with support of cross functional project team.
• Lead Quality stakeholdering in any gatekeeping / investor board forum.
• Provide regular progress updates to executives and key stakeholders.
• Audit and assessment of new manufacturing and/ or packing site (including laboratories/ analytical capabilities) as per the product standards and UL mandatory requirements.
• Ensure CAPA at audited sites are robust and ensure timely closure.
• Provide new sites Quality Approval for commercial production.
• Support H&W R&D in various activities having overlap with quality viz. product specification, testing parameter and its testing frequencies, developing product stability protocols, transit trials inputs and evaluation, risk assessment and post launch review.
• Ensure Quality Agreement between the each selling and buying entity for the commercialized goods.
• Develop QMS/ SOP basis Global guidelines to ensure Quality processes are embedded for the region.
• Impart training to region teams for the developed QMS/ SOPs.
• Advice the Global Quality Lead H&W on all actions related to quality which has an impact on goals of the organization as appropriate to the business needs.
• Represent Quality function on appropriate forums.
• Maintains an open channel for communication between various stakeholders.
• Own & drive issues identification & resolution and assure smooth transition between key decision points.
• Define AQLs for the product for geo- expansion in consultation with operating company’s quality and global quality guidance and ensure adherence.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
· Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in quality assurance, science, food technology, medical sciences, etc.; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.
· Strong experience in Quality Assurance + Quality Control experience which includes product innovation, QMS experience in a complex environment.
· Fluency in English and Portuguese. Spanish is preferred.
· Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, Business processes, Quality Management Systems, HACCP & Food Safety.
· Prior auditing experience shall be an added advantage.
· Comfortable to work remotely, in a global team based across multiple geographies. Experience working internationally and in virtual teams would be beneficial.
· Fast paced and comfortable working in an environment with tight deadlines and significant level of ambiguity and change.
· Prior working experience of vitamin supplements, OHC products will be added advantage.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, reasoning and presentation skills).
· Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external stakeholder.
· Ability to think flexibly to meet constantly shifting priorities and timelines and to independently provide solutions to issues.
