MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The Global Mobility team is responsible for designing and managing the delivery of all aspects of Unilever's International Assignment programme as part of the Global HR Services organization. The team is responsible for the management of 1,300 Long Term International Assignees, 300 Short Term Assignees, Commuters and Permanent Transfers across over 80 countries. The team is accountable for all aspects of the assignee relationship, vendor management, global processes, technology and operational service delivery in these areas.
Global Mobility Analyst - will be responsible for day to day operational service support, primarily focusing on international assignee remuneration/compensation related activities, which will be delivered to the wider Global GM team in respect of moving our international populations.
The Global Mobility Analyst role is a specialist role due to the cross border nature of the work and in addition to best in class service delivery skills, a Global Mobility Analyst requires a good understanding of employment law, personal tax, social security and payroll compliance.
The Global Package Team under which the Global Mobility Analyst will function, is aimed at delivering a smooth and efficient service to a high volume of international assignees. To deliver outstanding service to these assignees, Global Mobility Analysts must be adept at managing numerous stakeholders, multi-tasking and maintaining a tight control of day to day service operations.
JOB SUMMARY
· Responsible for end to end service delivery for a high volume of host based international assignees, short term assignees, international commuters and permanent transfers' remuneration/compensation related activities globally, providing a smooth and efficient service focused on landing people into their new roles as quickly as possible.
· Actively involved in assisting, testing, maintaining the Global Mobility components of the Unilever Total Reward System(TRS).
· Proactively working with Global Mobility Analysts, Reward and HR for the Co-ordination and collection of required information for the preparation of compensation statements in accordance with Reward guidelines.
· Excellent understanding of personal tax issues, equity award treatment, social security and payroll compliance for cross border moves.
· Preparation of any assignment documentation, contracts, extension letters, addendums applicable for international assignees.
· Global Annual pay review support for compensation and payroll (running calculations and manipulating data in excel)
· Preparing Cost Estimates for all new assignment ensuring correct allocation of costs to tax/financial years, categories of income and timing of accruals
· International assignment system data updates / maintenance / audit
· Adhoc data support request
· Global Package team tracker update and maintenance
· Responsible for providing support on adhoc projects or work activities as requested by GMM/SGMA, as required.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
· B.Comm Accounting/ Finance degree or equivalent
· 1-2 years Global Mobility experience desirable
· Experience in liaising and communicating with multiple stakeholders across regions
· Experience in Finance/Accounting/Tax/Reward expertise is highly desirable
· Preferably experience in self-managing projects, tracking and assessing progress and handling data accurately
