MAIN JOB PURPOSE :

There is increasingly project demand across different geographies and the business is dramatically multiplying. However, at the same time the business needs us to deliver robust project demand services whilst relentlessly driving down cost.  The Demand Management plays a pivotal role in delivering global projects that Unilever needs to succeed.

As a part of the demand team, the purpose of the Demand Assistant Manager role is to support the Demand Manager through:

· 
Evaluates complex situations accurately and identifies viable solutions that create successful outcomes for the customer.

· 
Works effectively with internal and external clients, third party vendors and Senior Management in accomplishing project objectives.

· 
Consolidation and analysis of the data collected from project status information, comparing results with baseline and reporting to stakeholders.

· 
Supporting demand governance throughout project phases.

· 
Plan and execute process improvement initiatives.

· 
Be the POC for Unisys RFC process.

· 
Willingness to take up projects in due course based on requirements.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES :

The incumbent will be a part of the Employee Technology team within UL. The role will be of a Demand Analyst and will require the ability to work as part of a global team, working on demand management space.  Following are the expected but not limited to the following responsibilities.

· 
The demand management PMO is responsible for governance of the entire end to end demand funnel.

· 
Stake holder management, Vendor management, risk management and communication skills are essential for this role. 

· 
The PMO will assist with defining ways of working, optimising processes and for ensuring the change initiatives are delivered in line with defined scope and requirements.

· 
Manage the demand portfolios and related projects independently.

· 
Ensure robust communication and updates within several stakeholders.

· 
Assist in development of required tools and workflows internally using SharePoint and if required, other process automation tools.

· 
Self-starter to be able to pick up and deliver results without assistance, owner mindset.

· 
The position will require supporting/leading operational/strategic projects based on requirements.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

· 
Relevant experience within project delivery within a complex global environment. Proven experience with managing global IT projects.

· 
Excellent demand/ project management (PMO) skills in line with best practice such as Lean and /or 6 Sigma for processes

· 
Ability to deal with challenging stakeholders and have adopted methods to gain an agreed outcome.

· 
Confident influencing style and communication skills, being able to make an impact with various diverse teams and ability to manage upwards.

· 
Excellent business awareness, understanding the broader context in which IT delivery has an impact on overall business performance.

· 
Strong Reporting capabilities.

· 
Supplier/vendor relationship management.

· 
Ability to work and deliver without being micromanaged. Significant self-motivation and focus to achieve the objectives of the role.
