SALARY: £31,200 - £39,000
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
As the Global Category Strategy Assistant Manager, you will support the annual strategy planning process, global Hand and Body Strategy development & take the lead on internal global communications & events, and help to drive the Skincare category growth agenda. As part of the Global Category Strategy team, you will be asked to support and lead key initiatives for the Global Category Strategy Manager, Global Category Strategy Director and Senior Vice President.

The role includes but is not limited to; liaising with the Global Strategy Director, a problem would come up that needed swift attention, you would be solving problems within markets, looking at research trends, consumer sights, reach out to the market, do an analysis, creating slides to do a presentation with suitable insights and commentary for the differing stakeholders. Alongside this you would be involved in strategic projects and would also be handling the brand communities ensuring strategic conformance, leading communications for the strategy for Skincare trends working with design agencies on this. You would also be working on events for investors, Unilever Executive communities and more.
This is a great role to gain a good understanding for strategy and the Skincare category in the multifaceted and dynamic industry; the FMCG industry.
JOB SUMMARY
· Conduct analysis to support the Hand & Body category strategy and prepare relevant presentations and information updates to senior stakeholders. (Analysis on market trends, product formats, pricing, competitors, media and adjacent categories.)
· Strategic Deep Dive: Delivering strategic deep dives on regions, countries or key category trends & competitor strategies
· Lead internal communications program including creation of strategic Newsletter capturing brand Best practises, trends & internal team cascades
· Category Strategy Support:
o Support the Global Category Strategy Manager and Category Strategy Director in management of the Global Category Leadership team meetings, when necessary bringing the outside in view.
· Support Digital Strategy (Define strategy and key digital KPI'S ) & sustainability strategy creation
· Lead & manage Internal/ external event preparation, which is our opportunity to shine both within and outside of the organisation by showcasing our brand stories
KEY REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum 2+ years' experience in marketing (BD: Marketing mix creation /BB: Marketing mix execution) roles proven track record of strong analytical, business and organizational skills
· Ability to manage and understand data input from different sources efficiently and to convert them into insights
· Curiosity to understand different market settings, cultural differences and at ease and inspired by an international and multi-cultural environment
· Ability to manage multiple projects and workload under pressure to meet deadlines.
· Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver through relationships at all levels of the organization
· Passion for working in a fast moving, competitive category that is a hotbed of creativity and innovation
· An appetite for challenge, with a hardworking, tenacious attitude
· Creative flair
· Understanding and experience in digital would be an advantage
