JOB TITLE: Food Technologist

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

· As UFS food technologist, the goal is to strengthen food technology credibility and capability through UFS dish solutions to target channels and accounts.
· Reporting directly to the MCO Business Development Lead, the food technologist will support business growth in CPU segment of the MCO business (Malaysia & Singapore).
· For culinary support, the food technologist will serve as the voice of operators. He/she will ensure that all efforts & launches are in line with the UFS CPU agenda, relevant to current trends and the needs of the market.

MAIN JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Initiate, develop & manage (international) Food Chain / QSR relationships in Asia
· To support the top win and retain projects of UFS Chains/CPU customers from food technology, quality assurance and product angles.
· Partner with UFS sales and chef to be a business team to the target customers.
· To provide the solution for their question/inquiry, to ensure the transition from chef samples to industrial samples, scale-up production and consultancy in CPU operations.
· Meet customers face to face when necessary and required by the CPU leader or sales leader.
· Establish food technologist contact matrix among key customers. Develop a network of external key decision makers that would have direct impact on the business and help develop UFS expertise in the food service market.
· To provide training materials/courses to UFS chef, sales and other functions. To be the speaker in the internal training.
· To provide consultancy for UFS internal queries in CPU.
· To work on innovation and product development, targeted at growing CPU segment
· Partner cross-functional teams of R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, Culinary, and Sales & Marketing to develop product innovation and/or minor variation to existing portfolio of products for CPU customers.
· Contribute to “CPU OCC” that is the global community for CPU.
· Positively represent UFS in relevant external food manufacturer associations and events to strengthen UFS reputation in the market
· Connect and build an internal & external food tech network that would help UFS further strengthen its food service insights and expertise in market

MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Essential:

· Food science-related major, diploma/degree.
· Can demonstrate commercially oriented interventions to FS customers (products, solutions)
· Have worked a minimum of 4 years in well-known sauces/seasoning company or CPU in the position of product development, R&D, QA, manufacturing
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Excellent training & facilitation skills

Desirable:

· Project development experience with high-profile value food chains or other global QSR systems
· Credible influencer to the external market
· Quick to adapt & implement market trends
