Here at Unilever Trafford Park, we manufacture tea, A LOT of tea – 2,000 tea bags a minute in fact. We are going through a genuinely v exciting time right now, as Pukka Tea joins the Unilever family, which means a number of new tea blends will be produced on site.
To help support this increased production, we are looking for a Finished Goods Planner with a background in FMCG or retail planning, to ensure the Pukka Tea is planned and manufactured in line with operational schedules. This is a brand new role and whoever joins the team will have the opportunity to really shape the direction of it.
You will plan the factory production lines in such a way as to deliver the site performance targets of Customer Service, Inventory, Line Efficiency and Cost.
What would my key accountabilities be?

Deliver on-time production plans for production lines and coordinate the adherence to these schedules with the operational teams

Build relationships with customers and influence forecast and demand signals.

Manage changes within the planning horizon to demand and production with customers and lead communication with customers
·
Ensure the delivery of planning performance targets including customer service, inventory, obsoletes and responsiveness within the horizon. Support the delivery of wider site objectives including cost, line efficiency, waste, mid/long-term planning targets etc

Communicate plans and plan-changes to the Materials Planning team, working with them to resolve any issues and in case of critical service risks, forming part of the cross-category team to manage this risk

Identify, implement and share improvements in ways of working, systems or processes within the scope of planning.

Collaborate with colleagues and cover absences as appropriate for the delivery of site objectives
What skills and experience do I need?
·
Experience working in a similar planning role gained in a FMCG manufacturing or large retail environment
·
Strong SAP, Excel and web-based and excel based planning tools experience
·
Excellent communication skills
·
Ability to react quickly, think on feet and problem solve
·
Understanding of the End to End Supply Chain process and the impact of local factory / retail planning
·
Comfortable presenting to others, be that in person or over Skype
