ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting a Finance Excellence Analyst – Pricing & Promotions within our Finance Excellence function.

The role of Finance Excellence Analyst – Pricing & Promotions is key to building on top of the success in better managing the return from individual in-store promotional mechanics, the MCO is now seeking to optimizing the effectiveness of event and none event spend by optimizing the return on investment.

The role will also give the incumbent the opportunity to work with responsibility and independence in their work. The successful candidate will count with mentoring sessions to successfully drive his/her development plans and career within the organization.

This role would report to the Finance Excellence Director and interact as part of the wider Finance Excellence team including other areas such as Pricing, Gross Margin, A&P and as well as working closely with a controlling, reporting and forecasting team owning all lines of the P&L from prior month to 5-years out.

This role offers direct exposure to three Finance Directors in the MCO – the Finance Excellence Director (line manager), the Customer Development Finance Director (key stakeholder), and the Personal Care Finance Director (lead of the MCO's Net Revenue Management programme) - and works across all customers and categories.

The successful candidate will lead the customer growth agenda for the UK & Ireland by co-creating and owning the best in class tools, coaching and educating BB & CD and BB & CD Business Partners, supplying killer insights in the key topics and to support and pioneer throughout whilst living and breathing standardisation and simplification throughout.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key accountabilities of the Finance Excellence Analyst – Pricing & Promotions are as follows:

o Acting as key finance support for the UKI's Net Revenue Management programme, a key part of our 2020 strategy and a high-visibility project requiring direct interaction with Brand Teams, Customer Teams, and the Country Leadership Team.
o Leading the BB & CD Finance efforts around “Perfect Promotions” to ensure promotional mechanics/guidelines are set with reference to all best insight on brand strategy, shopper behavior, competitor activity, marketplace dynamics and the subsequent governance
o Optimizing return from fixed customer investments (JBP) through performance management and tracking through to early reporting and monitoring of counterparted spend and performance indicators
o Build a knowledge and insights hub from price and promo tracking and score-carding, support the setup a central library of tools and insights.
o Provide consulting to BB & CD and Finance using these learnings and bring insights in developing competitiveness
o Correlate and isolate the impact of promotional activity on sales, market share performance and brand equities through Macro and Micro modelling
o Leading the connection between BB Finance, Business Ops and CD Finance on all elements of promotions including Event and Non Event spends
o Co-create, implement and lead for continuous improvement on a regular forum for which the Category and Customer Business Teams can review and implement actions on promotion and investment including Micro and Macro OPSO
o Act as key business partner to the cross-customer Price & Promotions team.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified accountant or equivalent or studying towards professional accounting qualification
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
