Background & Purpose of the Job
The Deduction Analyst (DA) is responsible for resolving customer deductions in a timely manner while identifying trends that will influence customer behavior.
The DA owns the responsibility of the financial integrity of all deduction-related transactions. Major responsibilities include root cause analysis, validation, resolution and reporting of all customer deductions. Accurate and timely resolution of all deductions with in Department guidelines with a focus on deduction prevention.
Who You Are & What You'll Do
This position will identify and resolve all types of deductions, including cash and credits, in a timely and efficient manner with a clear understanding of impact to Sales, the balance sheet and the P&L. Majority of focus will be placed on Over, Shorts and Damage (OS&D) review to identify opportunities for the business to reduce or eliminate. Ensure accurate and efficient recording and reporting of all open and resolved deductions. In addition, the DA will provide decision support and financial insight to all third parties in a timely manner as well as research and validate all Logistic deductions. The DA will work strategically with Customer Support on process changes designed to minimize deduction issues and improve invoice accuracy. The DA will complete trend analysis for root cause to identify cash flow opportunities and implement corrective actions and pursue collection of invalid items.
Further the DA will authorize and process return & refusal orders, ensuring processed timely and accurately, in accordance with Unilever policy. This position will partner with other Departments to provide financial insight on process gaps, opportunities and specifically the impact of deductions on cash flow.

What You'll Need To Succeed
Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years in related field. Specific Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point), Working knowledge of accounting, excellent written and oral communication, accuracy and attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. SAP experience a plus.
