Job Position: CTI (Senior) Specialist

Function: CTI

WL:  WL1

Reports to:  CTI Senior Manager

Scope:   Regional N. Asia

Location: Shanghai

Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job

·  The key job role is to support the CTI and Claim program and work stream for Ice cream regional projects and the regional elements of global projects. This includes:
·  Define and refine key consumer insights (preference drivers, needs etc) to drive products development and innovation.
·  Deliver qualitative, quantitative and sensory consumer research for innovation projects (design , brief agencies , analyse & report , make recommendations ) & 5S projects.
·  Generate and support appealing claims based consumer and technical insights 
·  Interaction in a multi-disciplinary business environment, providing a critical link between the business, particularly the R&D team, and the consumer.

Main Accountabilities

Consumer Insight:

·  Gain consumer insight for innovation project, margin improvement project. Identify consumer needs for product and package development
·  Understand market trends, needs and competitor moves.
·  Screen product prototypes with lean approach;
·  Validate product options, gain consumer evidence for new product development
·  Co-work with global team for strategic understanding
·  KBS with agile ways for business needs

Claim:

·  Generate attractive claims based on both consumer and technical insights
·  Monitor competitor claim trend
·  Lead claim workshop and claim roadmap, with RA.

Key Skills

Relevant Experience

·  Be creative, quick learner
·  Be sensitive on claims and know how to avoid risk while not weaken claims too much.
·  Good bias for action, brings a sense of urgency to getting things done, focus on results, drives simplification for process

Education ideally master’s degree in psychology, nutrition science, sensory science, biology science, foods, any of the Physical Sciences.

1-5 years’ experience and substantial track record in a Category R&D function, ideally at least 1 year in consumer insight and/or marketing intelligence.

Experience in Project Management experience.
