MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The key job role is to lead the products' claims programme (i.e. on-pack, on TV advertisement, in digital, at point-of-sale) for Deodorants' category projects, in order to bring innovation to life for consumers, creating the maximum amount of news from our science and innovation. As such act as the technical team partner to Brand team in crafting the products' messages to consumers.
Key Challenges of the role
• Lead the planning and execution of the technical claims programme for a portfolio of global projects using a range of tools to maximise the products' messages to consumers.
• Work closely with a range of partners (Brand Development, Legal and Regulatory) to ensure products' claims are robustly supported with technical and consumer understanding and compliant to laws and regulations.
JOB SUMMARY
• Act as a core member of multiple Global Project Teams to lead the product's claims development work plan, ensuring OTIF delivery throughout the innovation funnel. Working in partnership with Consumer Technical Insights and Formulation Development teams to define, and ensure delivery of, the products' claims testing plan.
• Coordinate creation of all claims risk assessment documentation by gathering cross-functional and cluster / country input. Ensure all project risks are clearly identified in the documents and highlighted within the project team, liaising regularly with Legal Counsel and Regulatory Affairs. Provide recommendations on how to mitigate risk and simplify support data required.
• Capture all claims support data and write claims support dossiers. Ensuring dossiers are robustly defendable and aligned to defined best practise.
• Employ a sound understanding of the category and product technology to develop robust products' claims and products' demonstrations (demos).
• Work with external partners to define and execute claims workshops, evaluation testing and deliver output/ results OTIF.
• Analyse and understand the market and consumers as well as future trends, seeking insights and making recommendations on new opportunities.
• Ability to creatively solve issues and provide alternative claims articulation that mitigate risk. Able to use creative and language tools.
• Analyse and understand competitors' products claims environment. In the event of a competitive challenge execute and prepare defence testing and dossier.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
• Graduate degree in Sciences or Social Sciences; Chemistry background or equivalent experience would be beneficial but not essential.
