In 2015 the Spreads division created a new standalone company, Upfield Foods, organisation that changed from operating as a Global Brand Led Organisation. It was an enabler to break down silos, to be more marketing facing and consumer connected. It unleashed a new leaner and more agile organisation with an experienced cross-functional leadership team with full accountability for the brands P&L.

On Friday 15 th December, it was announced that Unilever was to sell the Spreads business to KKR and the transfer of ownership is expected to take place in July 2018. KKR is committed to supporting the business’ growth ambition, while continuing to follow Unilever’s responsible sourcing policies, including working towards the goal of sourcing 100 per cent sustainable palm oil by 2019.”

Role Overview:

Support NAMET (North Africa, Middle East and Turkey) and South Asia Cluster Procurement organization in delivering Upfield Foods strategy and Cluster targets by aligning Procurement resources, leveraging the supplier network for materials and services within the geographical area and by connecting with other functions (Marketing, R&D and SC).

Key Responsibility Areas:

· Support Procurement Manager - NAMET and South Asia E2E Operations in developing and implementing cluster strategy
· Act as first point of contact in NAMET and South Asia for issues/questions relating to procurement of raw and pack materials and business services
· Handle diverse customer, supplier or operational issues when they arise
· Support the management and maintenance of supplier relationships in NAMET and South Asia Cluster
· Support security of key materials through the development of contingency plans and alternative materials and suppliers
· Ensure timely inputs to global/regional project development and OTIF (on-time-in-ful) execution of global/regional projects in NAMET and South Asia
· Prepare information and analysis of the portfolio, including price benchmarking and total cost analysis, to enable proper budgeting, cash forecasting and forecast variance analysis as needed
· Support delivery of cost savings and innovation agenda in the NAMET and South Asia Cluster
· Support the financial analysis of the portfolio, including price benchmarking and total cost analysis.

Skills and Experience Required:

· Minimum 3 years of experience involving either procurement experience (incl. management responsibility for a part of the portfolio) or supply chain or project management in an FMCG
· Interest in sustainability and/or sustainable development / sustainable systems design
· Great personal organisation skills, attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines in the multicultural environment
· Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly (both written and in presentations).
