Background and Purpose of the Job:

Unilever Independence is seeking applicants for the position of Associate Production Supervisor.  The role includes, but is not limited to, a proven leader who communicates and enforces Unilever's safety and quality policies and procedures along with supporting the goals of the factory/department.  This person will be required to lead, coach and develop our teammates in all aspects of the production operation. They are also responsible for their personal growth and development while driving continual improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.  They must also be able to think strategically and make sure that we maximize the availability and efficiency of the department.  This position requires flexibility as your schedule may vary (with notice) due to vacation coverage for other supervisors and other business needs.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do  

·  Managing manufacturing activities during the designated shift by leading and motivating teammates in all areas including safety, quality, efficiency, loss management, and continuous improvement (UMS).  
·  Meeting legislative requirements, providing instruction in regard to safety procedures and supporting plant SHEQ initiatives as required (GMP, Hygiene, 5S, etc.)  
·  Accountable for the productivity of the site during shifts. This requires contacting appropriate resources for issue resolution, providing alternative duties in the event of breakdown or material shortage. 
·  Demonstrate strong troubleshooting capabilities with process and packing equipment.
·  Increase stability of the production line to support our vision from traditional line teams to a semi-autonomous team.
·  Prioritize projects through data stratification of factory downtime and waste data.
·  Manage small projects from ideation through implementation.
·  Work closely with operators and maintenance team during continuous improvement activities and act as a technical trainer when needed.
·  Vacation Relief Supervisor for Packaging and Process departments.
·  Other duties may be assigned. 

What You’ll Need To Succeed

·  Your focus, leadership and collaborative nature will be a huge positive contributor to the success in this role. You adapt to change and communicate clearly and effectively across all tiers of organization. You have experience in establishing and maintaining relationships on all levels of the business, while creating a culture of safety, quality and operational excellence.
·  0-2 years of Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience required.
·  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ Business/ Management (preferred)

Pay: The pay range for this position is $53,100 - $77,900. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
