We need to work more closely than ever with suppliers to co-create sustainable practices and bigger and better innovations.

Purpose of the Job

As the Assistant Procurement Manager Chocolate and Sugar North America you will be responsible for supporting a ~120 m EUR portfolio.  Key material types include Chocolates, chocolate compounds, cocoa powders, and several grades and types of sugar ice cream inclusions.

·  Leads to deliver our Unilever’s Sustainability agenda.
·  Overall a huge appetite to learn from both internal colleagues and the external market

Key goals:

·  Cost / Savings & Cash :  Material cost as a % of turnover, material savings / net material impact (NMI), inflation mitigation, payment term extensions / reduction, strategic big bets delivery, implementing smart buying tools.
·  Supplier partnerships :  Operational excellence, quality & service, resilience, spec sign-off, Responsible Sourcing Policy compliance, quality compliance, forecast accuracy, etc.
·  Savings ideation : Zero based budgeting (ZBB), 5S, design to value, programs unlocking value for UL for years to come.
·  Sustainability : Implementing Unilever’s policies on sustainable sourcing with all Chocolate and Sugar suppliers in US and Canada.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

·  Very strong analytical and technical (systems) skills: Excellent skills in Excel, SAP, other online databases, careful analysis of large volumes of data, presentation in Power Point.
·  Very strong English communication (written and oral) skills: Writing clear and concise emails to internal and external stakeholders, conveying complex messages in clear, simple words.
·  Very strong bias for action , getting things done on time and in full, crisis management skills.
·  Strong ability and willingness to learn and grasp market information , convey findings along with recommendations to the business.
·  Experience and strong readiness to further learn about price forecasting, planning processes, market operations, supply chains.
·  BS/BA Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or relatable subject.  MBA is a plus.
·  Minimum 3 years’ Procurement experience.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $84,400 to $126,600. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
