Background & Purpose of the Job

In-Store Visibility or ISV is part of the Trade Marketing department that's based in Unilever's corporate head quarters at 160 Bloor Street East in Toronto.

Our primary objective is to lead the development of every special pack and display vehicle for both Personal Care and Foods categories. We provide a service to our marketing and sales colleagues and generate value by creating highly effective, impactful, and financially responsible special packs and displayers. The feasibility process we manage depends on a vast network of internal departments and external suppliers. It's ISV's responsibility to ensure that the network is functioning effectively, communication is flowing, people are being held accountable and challenges are being over-come.

ISV's role and responsibilities are also evolving into new areas as the relevance of our function increases at Unilever and within the marketplace. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the desire and track-record to drive continuous improvement and change.

Who You Are & What You'll Do

· You're a strategy guru: You will work closely with marketing, sales, customer packaging and finance to identify special pack and displayer opportunities, assess business case, develop packaging, and to ensure timing can be met. You will also connect with Key Account Managers to solicit information for volumes, and feedback on packaging (e.g. mixes; concept).
· You're a dot connector: You will be the operational link with Assistant Brand Building Manager, Brand Building Manager, Assistant Category Trade Manager, Category Trade Manager, Supply Chain Planning, Package Engineering, Visual Branding, Purchasing, Co-Packing, Finance and Field Sales for brand issues and opportunities relating to special packs & customer specific packs.
· You love to win, and have fun doing it: You will lead Post-Evaluation of all special pack and display projects, understanding sell-in and financial results of each project.
· You get things done: You will be accountable for completion of all special pack and displayer ISV pre-launch activities for displays on select HPC categories as well as all gift packs (e.g., determining pack structure, facilitate feasibility assessment, forecasts, UPC code updates, project briefs, deal sheets, customer samples)
· You're a data guru: You will provide customer/channel inputs to marketing teams developing special pack and displayer business cases (e.g., distribution, turns, competitive insights, margin requirements and input from key customer teams).

What You'll Need to Succeed

· Bachelor's Degree is preferred
· 3-5 years of working experience in consumer packaged goods
· Experience in the following are an asset: brand, sales, customer planning, logistics, finance, supply chain and familiarity with internal operating and ordering systems
· Experience managing a third party co-packaging provider relationship
· Outstanding project management, ability to coordinate across a vast network of stakeholders (internal and external), skilled at managing multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities and comfortable holding self and others accountable
· Demonstrated ability to understand and apply the bigger picture, while attending to the details.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Experience with SAP, Merlin, Essbase, AcNeilsen a plus
· Must strive for breakthrough thinking within vision for growth
