SALARY: £31,200 - £39,000 per annum
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
As an Assistant Tea Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the development and execution of a marketing plan in the UK & Ireland for PG, Lyons and Pure Leaf. You will be pivotal in brand building activities for these brands, working with the marketing manager, sales managers, retail marketers and Global Marketers to deliver ‘best in class' activations and propositions which really add value to our customers in trade as well as operators and of course the consumer.
Day to day, your role will consist of managing the 6 P's for the portfolio. Examples include: developing, briefing and executing activation campaigns (operator journeys), across your brands, managing innovations and rejuvenations, tracking and monitoring product performance with recommendations on how to improve. You will work closely with Consumer Insights and Analytics to strengthen our proposition and plans. You will be involved in cross functional business teams.
Your role in owning, developing and delivering strong plans to the market is dependent on your ability to communicate well both written and orally, as well as your passion for driving business growth. In addition, as a marketing professional it is key for you to keep up to date with developments in marketing (eg digital and social media) therefore you will have a full induction and training programme designed for you within Unilever's leading edge marketing academy.
Utilising digital platforms to reach target audiences and maximise exposure will be integral as will project management and budget management.
JOB SUMMARY
· Drive the launch of the new premium Tea Brand – Pure Leaf
· Social media management to promote the brand to reach target audiences
· Optimise the PG and Lyons portfolio to drive long term growth
· Support the E Commerce team in delivering greater on line opportunities
· Support the vending team/office suppliers in delivering relevant activations to drive growth
· Track category performance and develop and implement corrective actions in alignment with Operator Marketing and CD
· Manage the Budget tracking and process for the Tea Company
· Manage the artwork process for Lyons and PG
· Own the Merchandise for our tea offers
· Deploy Global projects
· Prepare IPM management and gatekeeping for MCO projects
· Interact and align with Retail colleagues on marketing initiatives and communications
· Collect and feedback insights, issues and trends to the Global team/MCO
· Budget management
KEY REQUIREMENTS
· Qualified to degree level is preferable. Educated to A level or International equivalent essential.
· Previous experience in marketing ideally, otherwise a role where delivery of marketing initiatives has been included. Ideally suited to someone currently working in Retail Brand Development, Brand Building or Category Management who is looking for a broadened experience in Brand Building.
· Social media management understanding and delivery in a previous role.
· Experience in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods or Food Service desirable but not essential
· Budget management
· Ability to work both independently and as a team member
· Good communication and project management skill
· Passion for marketing excellence and building brands
· Strong organisational skills and an ability to meet timelines in a disciplined manner
· Strong IT and numerical skills, particularly in MS Office suite and Excel, but also able to demonstrate an ability to understand and utilise other systems i.e. Sales out, ESRA etc.
