Job description
Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job
· The Global Packaging Design Hair care in Shanghai is responsible for packaging development for Unilever China & Global. As China is the key business centre with huge opportunities and market movement in fast speed, so the China projects will be delivered end to end.
· This individual will be responsible for packaging development for hair innovation. He or she will lead both global & regional innovation/renovation/value improvement projects independently .
Main Accountabilities
· Independently lead the packaging development activities under Unilever packaging framework.
· Helps interpret the project brief into packaging design brief to determine the technical development activities required
· Develop the primary /secondary packaging as per project requirement to achieve the agreed milestones
· Identifies & determines technical packaging solutions by own practical work(lab testing, trials in SC or suppliers) and by consulting widely with both internal & external sources
· Evaluates/screens technical routes to identify most promising approach by generating the proper technical report.
· Be accountable for generating the packaging specification and input into Unilever system
· Understand the consumer insight and be able to input to the packaging design.

· brand team, category planning team, cluster SC team, global /cluster packaging team, rest of the functional team within R&D
· Unilever suppliers and 3P
Key Skills
· Degree in a packaging or mechenism background. Master degree, with design capability is preferred.
· Proven excellent communication skills
· Can-do attitude, fast execution
· Proven ability to do the project management.
· Demonstrate the leadership to drive project forward
Relevant Experience
· Proven 3-5 years of packaging development experience.
· Demonstrate the understanding of packaging development process and quality standards used to design and develop the primary and secondary packaging component that meets consumer, brand, customer and manufacturing objectives.
