Background & Purpose of the Job
Assistant Procurement Manager– RESIN is responsible for the buying of HDPE, PP and PET resins for the cluster of NAMETRUB, Africa and America's. This role is focused on developing long term business relationships with Global and Local RESIN producers. Person in this role will interact with senior leadership of big manufacturing organizations like SABIC, Lyndell Bassell, Braskem etc. On the customer front, primary customer will be RIGID packaging team. You'll be a part of the Global RIGID packaging team as well as work very closely with NAMETRUB procurement team. Role is focused on developing long term RESIN strategy for Unilever as well as managing annual negotiations for all the Virgin and Recycled RESIN producers
Who You Are & What You'll Do
Key Accountabilities:
· Development of the RESIN Buying strategies: -
· Responsible for delivering the end-to-end strategic RESIN sourcing projects across multiple region and contributing towards the overall goals and objectives: -
· Delivering VIP programs
· Creating direct interactions with the appropriate stakeholders / functional / operating teams within the business to drive buying behaviour and change requirements;
· Measuring and managing overall performance of suppliers
· Take forward the Unilever Direct Buy Program
· Agree with Convertors on Right to Buy
· Forecasting RESIN prices and supporting cluster teams on BPC forecast
· Work with consultants like IHS, ICIS and CDI to deliver Key insights
· Communicate RESIN strategy with multiple stakeholders in Unilever
What You'll Need To Succeed
· Experienced (3+ years) in a procurement role.
· Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
· Strong Analytical skills
· Experienced cross geography project management
· Skilled in delivering to challenging savings targets.
· A strong commercial operator and negotiator.
· Experienced in stakeholder and supplier management.
· Experience in managing business stakeholder's relationships.
