Job description
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
Unilever's Workplace and Travel Services (WTS) Innovation and operation team are looking for a Sustainability Coordinator to be based in ETSC Bangalore. We are looking for someone with a passion for sustainability and driving performance improvement, who has excellent communication and project management skills and an ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and fast moving change. The successful candidate will also need to understand the broader context in which Workplace and Travel Services has an impact and interaction with the wider Unilever business and its sustainability priorities.
The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about sustainability, proactive, efficient, driven and able to develop and support global networks. The role will require excellent organisational and communication skills.
the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan launched in 2010, with a relatively narrow focus in Workplace and Travel Services, this has been expanding over the last couple of years as we have aligned more closely with Supply Chain and R&D to identify common ambitions to drive performance improvements and identify opportunities across our real estate portfolio, travel and with our people.
In this role you will be responsible for coordinating the sustainability activities led by the Workplace Services sustainability team including 3rd party partners who support Unilever in this area.
JOB SUMMARY
Coordinate WTS Sustainability reporting processes and systems. This includes:
· Administration of the reporting system, adding new users, liaison with system developers and management user acceptance testing for any new features
· User training and support
· Data validation
Coordinate WTS Sustainability Excellence Forum and maintain sustainability toolkit
· Build a network across WTS to understand the different site, regional and functional challenges around sustainability and identify the best strategies to support them.
· Arrange meetings, develop content, work with regional champions to ensure actions are completed
· Develop toolkit content based on new initiatives and business requirements and maintain and update the sharepoint site
· Support regional champions and service delivery managers with roll out of initiatives and sharing of learnings and good practices
· Support WTS/ ETS Comms team in development of sustainability news stories and content based on site activities
Coordinate WTS global sustainability projects and jobs to be done
· Provide project management support, and track progress against plans
· Identify new risks and issues based on current programme status and work with stakeholders to identify mitigation
· Provide sustainability support to the WTS Innovation and Operations team, WTS Travel and Fleet team and WTS Real Estate Team
Provide support to the Innovation and Operations team, as necessary
· Scheduling team meetings
· Raising Purchase Orders, Goods receipting etc
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Analytic skills to evaluate alternative courses of action, and provide fact based solutions/recommendations.
· Project management experience: identifying opportunities, developing a project plan and driving projects to conclusion
· Strong organizational skills giving the ability to coordinate multiple projects / processes at one time
Preferred/Desirable:
· Degree in a sustainability related discipline e.g. science, engineering etc.
· Agile project management techniques
· Ability to develop new approaches to meet changing needs and to work in a fast-changing, quick-paced work environment
· Experience of working in global teams and with a wide range of stakeholders
· Internal/ external communications and change management
· Development and delivery of training
· Understanding of how to use and provide admin support for SharePoint
