Main Job Purpose

Information & Analytics Strategy has set forth an ambitious agenda in the space of Global Master Data Management, asking for acceleration of capabilities in delivering standardized master data objects, driving convergence along with a deep strength in governance for Global Master data. In the re-designed Global MDM team there is a requirement for a Kalido Developer to join the team.

This role requires an experienced Kalido developer to manage MDM and DIW. This key individual would require a good understanding of Master Data and also a good business knowledge across Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Customer Development, R&D and People functions in order to understand how our MDM models represent this structure and to lend support to projects within these functions.

Each of these functions are complex in their own right - however the complexity of this job for Master data is in managing standard delivery & governance for the Master data objects within MDM and DIW that are shared by these functions. Additionally, maintaining the ongoing integrity of all Master data in the Global Data warehouse. This role is a global role with accountability across regions and functions.

Reporting directly to the BI MDM Global Solution Delivery Manager, this role sits in the ETS Information and Analytics function within the MDM Systems and Process team.

· Drive ambition of truly global design while catering for regional requirements.
· Assess trade-offs between (Tactical vs. Strategic solutions), and benefits of speed vs costs to deliver timely solutions
· Design & Deliver solutions considering the performance impact and user-friendliness
· Drive simplification of current processes and automation of existing processes/tools in delivering Master data to Information capabilities.
· Influence external teams (e.g. IM/MDM Operations, IT Consultants). Fixed Term Assignment – 3 years fixed term project based assignment


Key Requirements
· Support the Global BI MD Solution Delivery function across functions:
· Support end to end solution delivery design
· Work with ETS functional engagement teams and global business function IM team/sponsors/champions to understand the business functional needs
· Enforce Master Data governance and solution delivery across all functions
· Give support to functional requirements which include Kalido developments
· Assist in enhancing Data Quality in solution delivery across capability systems
· Participate in Technical designs that meet the agreed functional design
· Be fully knowledgeable on Unilever corporate and global hierarchies
· Deliver requirements within Kalido as per agreed design and timelines. Validate that solution meets the business requirements
· Document technical design
· Test solutions ensuring that adequate level of testing is performed.
· Work closely with Line Manager.
· Support and deliver the Kalido development and change components for projects, ensuring they are delivered on time
· Keep the line manager informed of activities and progress of Kalido developments, enabling the line manager to keep project teams informed
· Work collaboratively with the Capability teams (Data, IM & MDM Operations) to deliver.
· Ensure Technical design is understood and delivered correctly by the development team and delivered to.
· Guide the development team with experience when required.
· Actively monitor development teams and escalate any issues foreseen to line manager.
· Actively Support Line Manager in Providing superior information services to the function:
· Provide support for the functional areas and other MDM teams
· Give guidance to AM support teams
· Ensure a high level of data quality is achieved during project delivery and in BAU
· Support in escalating any issues.
· Partner with Line manager in relationships with third parties on day to day project/task deliverable to ensure agreed timelines are achieved.
