Job description

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The main purpose of the geography-based IT Assistant manager is to support the IT Manager within area of responsibility (Marketing) as a representative for the whole of IT for the geography business teams.

Key to role is to understand the key interfaces into Global IT Innovation, Service Lines & Service Delivery within scope of responsibility and to work effectively with these teams in the delivery of IT Services to the business.

The candidate would need to understand the business vision for this function and the plans for IT in his/her area of responsibility and will participate in the achievement of these plans and effectively communicate these within business teams.

The candidate would also be responsible for supporting the delivery of key global and local innovations services aligned with the operating model.

Assistant Manager would be responsible for partnering Marketing Function including CMI and Media team in India. He will be responsible for channelizing business requirements, coming up with Solution, working with global innovation and local agencies for landing each of the capabilities.

JOB SUMMARY
The main purpose of the Assistance manager is to support the IT Manager in delivery of responsibilities. Within area of responsibilities*, the candidate will:

BUSINESS PARTNERING
Engage with business teams within his/her area of responsibility to communicate and scope the IT plan aligned with overall IT plan
Has good appreciation of technology trends in the space of digital marketing and can help business in terms of proposing a right technical solution for the problem or opportunity at hand

INNOVATION LANDING
Undertake activation activities for Global IT Innovation project landing & Service Line activation programs as required by IT Manager
Undertake the relevant project execution activities (ensuring timely build completion by innovation team, ensure UAT completion by end users with coverage of all scenarios and smooth rollout) to support Local Growth Programs
Work with business teams to ensure that the benefits of the existing capabilities and new services within area of responsibility are achieved

SUPPORTING EXISTING CAPABILITIES
Escalate unresolved incidents on the basis of criticality to the right lead in the platform team
Analyze recurring issues and ensure systemic fix with the help of innovation team
Ensure zero business disruption due to IT application upgrade/migration activities by ensuring UAT by end users

COST REDUCTION
Drive simplification and automation of identified outsourced processes to reduce cost of outsourcing

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Essential: Basic IT Skills, understanding of Digital marketing tech capabilities, IT Infrastructure regarding hosting a web site and tech solution, Digital marketing eco-system and good business partnering skills. The candidate would be expected to interact very frequently with the business team in HO and with the team situated outside of India

Desirable: Basic understanding of marketing, proven track record in delivery of IT projects in similar industry and good general awareness around the trends in the market
