MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
As part of the Unilever Tech 2.0 platform based strategy where we focus on our key business
priorities, work with fewer, strategic vendors, insource more technical expertise and upskill our people.

This role forms part of the Consumer Performance Platform, building a technology platform that will create a holistic view of our consumer, covering an increasing number of consumer data sources globally. Additionally, the platform will contain all our Digital Assets, Recipes and Product Information

• We will KNOW our consumer and products so that our consumers interact through an experience that aligns to their preferences and interests which, in turn, gives us better relationships with our customers than our competitors
• We will EMPOWER our consumer so that they have access to content that will encourage them to be brand advocates which gives us the ability to increase our reach and sales

JOB SUMMARY

The main accountability of this role is to define and build highly available and secure data platforms that support of the Consumer Performance programme.

Database
· In collaboration with Database architect, designing, building, maintaining and enhancing the data models supporting all products and capabilities within the team.
· Designing high-quality data solutions for key marketing systems, as part of a growing and evolving DevOps team.
· Ensure data models and data capability comply with specifications, aligned to database standards.
· Provide expertise in database and cloud hosting technologies.
· Design, management and architecture of Hadoop/Apache Project & SQL databases
· Ensuring Data integration using ETL and API toolsets is efficient and secure. (Aligned with database standards and in conjunction with wider team)
· Collaborating on architecture of large scale data products (ingestion, analytics)
· Establish and maintain appropriate backup/recovery policies and procedures.

Security
· Protecting our most critical data is essential, deliver data solutions aligned to the Unilever security data security best practises and standards.
· Collaborating with entire Consumer Performance team to ensure all data is protected as appropriate to its classification.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

· Relenavt years of all things SQL.
· Experience of working with Big Data.
· Hosting data on Cloud Technologies (Amazon AWS)
· Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech./MCA/M. Tech
· Management and integration to Database technology (Hadoop, MS SQL Server, Hibernate, ETL)
· Experience of working with teams using Agile / DevOps concepts.
· A commitment to delivering and securing the highest quality data.
· Dedication to a collaborative working style and the ability to work well in small teams, both onshore and offshore.
