MAIN JOB PURPOSE

The Laundry category is the biggest category in Unilever, giving lots of opportunity to work on high profile initiatives. Surf is the 2 nd biggest laundry brand in UK, and its bright personality, gorgeous packaging and fabulous fragrances gives us the freedom to do things differently and find new ways to delight our consumers.

We are looking for a courageous optimist to join our local brand team and help deliver our equity and NPD initiatives to our upbeat consumers.

You will be reporting to the Senior Brand Manager and your responsibility will leading innovation projects, leading ecommerce projects, P&L management, support on comms execution and brand planning.

JOB SUMMARY

Outstanding execution:
· Responsible for best in class activations in UKI both full comms mix (ATL/BTL/Instore) lead on media plans, agency relationships and customer executions strategies with Sales teams & shopper marketing.
· Develop an in-depth understanding of Surf including the consumers, competitors and retailers environments within the UK to identify the jobs to be done and key growth initiatives
· Support on the launch of the Surf media campaign, leading on execution of the comms plan across channels
· Lead 2018 & 2019 innovation projects and ensure perfect execution in UK and Ireland
· Ownership of budget monitoring and payment processes.
· Ownership of the Ireland brand plans and performance.
· Ownership of shopper marketing activities.
· Ownership of ecommerce, digital and PR activities.
Performance Responsibility for Surf Brand UK & Ireland
· P&L: grip on P&L drivers from Volume to PBO and create necessary actions to deliver targets by leveraging volume, price and mix drivers across formats and customers, via Monthly Performance Review and monthly sales-team meetings.
· Share: grip on drivers of share performance and necessary actions by leveraging 6p actions for Surf by customer.
· Key Performance Metrics: Full grip on all KPI metrics (Pen/Freq/VPT/Price/Brand Equity/Brand Health) to drive necessary actions by leveraging 6p actions for Surf by customer.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

· Candidates will have strong experience in brand building, and be passionate about business grip with fluent P&L management skills
· Candidates will have strong experience in local market activation to build brands including leading on agency relationships and leading on engagement with retailers.
· Experience of a fast paced, competitive environment with high demands.
· A hands-on “doer”, who gets things done and can manage multiple projects and priorities.
· Bias for action & resilience - Building strong relationships within the marketing team & across functions within Marketing, sales, finance, R&D, etc.
· A commercial business mind-set – ability to analyse and understand the P&L and market data, and recommend actions to optimise performance
· A rounded marketing skill set, with as much passion for brand equity and consumer engagement as financials, with a competitive mindset to ensure we outperform our competitor brands.
· Good creative judgment and passion for delivering great executions with the latest technologies as well as mass media.
