Responsibilities

The Opportunity:

 

Two-thirds of the average company’s environment, social, and governance footprint lies with suppliers. Procurement’s role in the sustainability agenda is crucial to achieve 2030 pep+ targets. Pep+ Manager will be responsible of leading the LatAm pep+ agenda (Agriculture, Climate, Packaging and Positive Choices) within Procurement in order to harmonize ways of working, set clear strategies cross-category and become the single point of contact with the Global Sustainability Office for projects, reporting and key interventions. This FTE will support Inno & Sustainability Sr. Manager to accelerate in a dedicated way the sustainability agenda.

PEP+ agenda needs to be addressed with different speed and intensity in each OU and country, that means that the PEP+ Manager will need to create specific glidepaths and strategies for 14 different countries in terms of agriculture, climate and descarbonization, sustainable packaging and sugar reduction and livelihoods.

 

Your Impact:

 

As Procurement Manager your scope would consist of

·  Lead the creation of Indirect crops roadmap to meet pep+ targets; feasibility assessment, risks & opps and gap killing
·  Run the financial analysis of pep+ costs and co-develop with buyers a cost mitigation plan
·  Design a suppliers engagement program to accelerate Climate targets (Scope 3 reduction by 40%)
·  Coordinate Climate agenda for Scope 3 targets; get on board suppliers to make GHG reduction commitments, ensure open reporting and to join renewable energy program
·  Identify each country and market needs and constraints in terms of license to operate, brands plans, financial restrictions and sustainability goals to adapt and manage RCB agenda
·  Lead Scope 1 & 2 GHG reduction plans for Procurement; run feasibility assessments, socialize agenda’s R&O and push for cost reduction; for example, electric fleet, renewable energy programs
·  Become SPOC and funnel of pep+ with all internal stakeholders; coordinate KPIs reporting and glidepaths process on a quarter and yearly basis
·  Implement and nurture pep+ dashboards for Agriculture, Climate and Packaging to track progress month over month
·  Train Procurement team on pep+ to develop the sustainability capability, have a clear learning path for all different levels with actionable examples
Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

 

Education 

  

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or similar.

 

Experience

·  7 years previous experience in Procurement (mandatory)
·  3 years previous experience in Sustainability topics (agriculture, packaging, climate) (desirable)
·  Knowledge on project management (mandatory)
·  Develop deep understanding of strategic Procurement operation model, products and processes to support PEP+ strategy
·  Strong analytical and quantitative skills: ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes. (mandatory)
·  Track record of having earned the trust of a leadership team by challenging norms, improving efficiency, enabling growth and upgrading team performance. (mandatory)
·  Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
·  Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
·  Experience influencing and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders to meet deliverables. (mandatory)
·  Excels at delivering results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, independently and autonomously. (mandatory)
·  Customer and results oriented
·  Proficient in English (mandatory), Portuguese (desirable)
·  Skilled in the main softwares - Word, Excel, Power Point (mandatory)
·  Skilled in Power BI (desirable)
·  Familiar with processes on transnational companies
